This is one of the most entertaining new series I have read in a while. I was hooked after the first page. In a small town in Wisconsin, Caron Egan, Patricia Harper, and Maggie Thorsen open up a gourmet coffee shop, UNCOMMON GROUNDS. On the day they open for business, Patricia dies in what seems like an electrocution accident. But the sheriff sees things differently. Sheriff Pavlik thinks someone tampered with the latte maker to intentionally kill Patricia. He begins to look at the business partners first.
The characters are realistic, likeable, interesting and well-developed. There are many plot twist to keep you guessing. Other than Maggie my favorite character is Sarah. Her blunt sarcastic comments are funny and keep the story rolling at a fast pace.
I wish the entire 7 book series was available through audiobooks. I bought the rest of the series for my Kindle. If you are a fan of light mysteries you will love this book.
This was very entertaining book. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I look forward to the next book in the series.
This book was not for me. I didn't like the subject matter so I stopped reading early into the book. Maybe I will pick it up another day and enjoy it. That being said, I didn't want to give it a negative rating. I do think the a professional narration would make it better.
This was another funny and entertaining addition to a great series. Emily is back with her Iowa seniors and Etiene. Jackie skipped this trip, which was fine with me. I would love to take a trip with this group and be a part of the fun.
This is a well written book with the right balance of humor and mystery. Hamish runs into murder and a group of eccentric characters in another Highland village. Hamish has some personal growth and I look forward to seeing how this affects his relationship with Priscilla in the future.
This was another very good book set in Loch Duh. Hamish is a good cop and I'm glad he fiannly got some credit. I am also happy the Priscilla is beginning to see Hamish for the man he is.
This is a very good mystery. I enjoyed the characters and plot twists. Also the story itself is unique and well written. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that sometimes it was hard to follow and I found myself going back because I thought I missed something. I also did not like the narrator. She did good with the foreign accents but her New York accent was stale.
This was a great second book in the Letty Whittaker series. It was better than the first. Letty's character is brave and tenacious. There was several twists and turns that kept me listening. I recommend this book. I wish the next one was available in the audible library.
Agatha keeps getting better. This book had lots of unexpected twists and turns with interesting new characters. As always, Agatha is the glue that holds it all together and sees the mystery to the end. I'm already on to the next book.
I enjoyed the forth novel of this series. It's a bit unrealistic that every single man in town is instantly in "like" with Dev. However, Swanson makes it work. I enjoyed this latest addition to the series and can't wait to see how it continues with the new twists and turns introduced.
This is a well written mystery with complex characters and many twists and turns. Letty is a realistic and flawed character that is very sympathetic and likeable. The supporting cast only add to the entertainment value of this book. I highly recommend it.
