This latest installment of the Fethering series is well plotted and entertaining. There are several twists and turns to keep you interested. But the murder is not really what keeps you interested in the story. The characters created by Simon Brett are well written and very realistic. What I like most about this series is that, Brett includes a prologue that sums up any speculation about the characters. I would recommend this book and the series to anyone who wants a light cozy mystery.

Former con artist Katherine "KC" Carmichael inherits the Honey House, a Bed and Breakfast located in the tiny town of Juniper Springs, AZ, a hotbed of the paranormal tourism industry. It doesn't take her long to discover that both the town and the House are keeping secrets. The town plays up its over-the-top paranormal reputation with fake werewolf photo safaris and psychic vortexes. It's all in good fun until an investigative journalist is found murdered in KC's backyard.

I was blown away by this book. Laura Harner has created an imaginative and realistic world for a great cast of characters. KC is one of the most realistic characters portrayed in a paranormal mystery/romance that I have enjoyed in a while. She is strong, smart and loyal. She's not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself, despite her past. The other characters are also strong and there is still plenty of mystery with each character. I also enjoyed the flow of the story. I didn't feel the need to skip ahead once. I will warn against listening to this while driving. Some of the scenes can be...distracting. This is a great book and I look forward to listening the next in the series.

Most girls might think twice before getting engaged to someone like Reyes Farrow - but Charley Davidson is not most girls. She’s a paranormal private eye and grim-reaper-in-training who’s known to be a bit of a hell-raiser, especially after a few shots of caffeine. Her beloved Reyes may be the only begotten son of evil, but he’s dark and sultry and deeply sexy and everything Charley could hope for. Really. But when the FBI file on Reyes’ childhood happens to land into her lap, she can’t help herself: She opens it...and then the real fun begins.

Meg is busy with apple harvest when her mother shows up unannouced. She has to balance harvesting apples, her parents and murder. This is a very entertaining book. The intrusion of her parents and the murder is very realistic. I don't know whythe state police bothers with investigating because Meg manages to beat them to the truth. I wish there was a different narrator. This one does a terrible job. Sometimes Seth has an accent sometimes he doesn't. Plus everyone sounds old.

This is another good addition to the Orchard Mysteries. I thought I new the killer but was shocked at the final outcome. I don't like the narrator for this series. I think she puts emphasizes in the wrong places and sometimes her voice is to nasal. I was disappointed that the recipes were not included at the end of the book. I might get the Kindle version for the next book because of it.

This story is very entertaing and I like the way that the characters are developing. I'm disappointed that the recipes were not included, but I have been told that the technical team is looking into it.

If there’s such a thing as luck, Lily Harper definitely doesn’t have it. Killed in a car accident before it’s her time to go, Lily learns that the hereafter isn’t exactly what she hoped it might be. First, there’s AfterLife Enterprises, the company responsible for sorting out the recently dead and sending them on their way to the Kingdom, (aka happily ever after,) or to the Underground City, (not so happily ever after.)

This book was not for me. I started it because it was $1.99 after getting the free Kindle addition. I wish I would have stuck with just the free Kindle version. The lead character, Lily, was annoying and whiny. Bill was vulgar and obnoxious. The dialogue was anything but funny. The plot made me roll my eyes several times. I don't have any thing good to say about this book.
