Joanne Fluke has been around for a while so I decided to give her series another try. It was ok. I still think it's a bit unrealistic that everyone tells Hannah there secrets and that she isn't reprimanded for breaking and entering people's home or keeping evidence from the police. Also, the final scene with the villain in this book is very similar to the final scene in the first book. I have run out of things to read so I might read the third book in this series. The recipes sound delicious and uncomplicated.

School psychologist Skye Denison has been waiting forever for her happily-ever-after with police chief Wally Boyd. But her bliss threatens to unravel on the very first day of their luxurious honeymoon cruise, when Skye becomes convinced that she has glimpsed her mother on board! Surely even momzilla May wouldn't have manipulated Wally into booking the same trip that her knitting group is taking...or would she?

What first appears to be a suicide quickly becomes something sinister when Zoe links the victim to a pair of deaths 45 years earlier. Her attempts to wheedle information from her mother and stepfather hit a brick wall of deception, one that brings into question everything Zoe knows about her late father, who died in a car crash when she was eight. Or did he?

Moving from Boston to remote Bearkill, Maine, isn't homicide cop Lizzie Snow's idea of a step up. But breaking away from tragedy and personal betrayal is at least a step in the right direction. Her dead sister's fate still torments her, as does her long-missing niece's disappearance. The town is full of people who see everything, say little, and know more than they'll share with an outsider.

The first time I read this book, I was not impressed. I'm not sure of I finnished. The second time it was much more entertaining. The world C.E. Murphy created was very intriguing. She brought together the Irish world of the Fae and Native American traditions. There was also a great group of supporting characters and a lot of action.

For travel escort Emily Andrew and her fellow Iowans, aloha means "hello" to all the sun, surf, and scrumptious cuisine their Hawaiian cruise has to offer. But for Professor Dorian Smoker, a renowned expert on the legendary Captain Cook, aloha also means "good-bye" - as in "man overboard." Sure, it could have been an accident. But Emily wonders if some guest with a grudge might have knocked off the opinionated professor.
