I love this series!!! I've had this book since it first came out but I wanted to wait until I could give it the attention it deserves. I can not express how good this series is. The characters are well written and developed. The world that Rachel Vincent created for her characters is solid and well built. The story is fast paced and well organized. This is truly one of the best series that I have read. I look forward to other books in this series.
This is a story worth reading. Meave Conlon is a complex and well developed character. She is a divorced mother of two daughters who has a father suffering from dementia. Meave has many secrets which are slowly exposed as the mystery is solved. The detective on the case reminds me of Colombo in that he shows up enough to remind you that he is looking at you for murder but is such a pleasant person that you don't take him too serious.
This is a lot darker than Murder 101 series. But it retains the characteristics of a cozy novel-no graphic sex or violence, lead character investigates while trying to run a business and family. I would like to read more about Meave but I have no idea how much more of her should be revealed. This is a most buy book.
This is one of the funniest series I have created. Professor Alison Bergeron hosts a birthday party for her twin stepdaughters. The girlsreceive $10,000 from their estranged uncle, Chick. He of course is murdered and Allison reluctantly gets involved. This book has serious character development and I wonder if it was the last in the series. If so, it was great while it lasted. If there is another book in the future it will only be funnier and have lots of complications.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are very realistic and funny. I received many strange looks for laughing out loud. I'm glad I discovered this series.
This was an enjoyable read. The characters are developing and seem like real people. The story has an easy going pace that keeps you drawn into the story. This is a great series and I look forward to reading the next book.
This is a very enjoyable story. I like the characters and the way they are developing.
This is a good start to a new series of ghost haunting books. I enjoyed the characters and the quick pace of the story. I look forward to reading the next book.
This is another good addition to a very good series. If you would like to spend your day with a cozy mystery this is a good one.
Jaymie Leighton is staying at her family’s cottage on Heartbreak Island while some repairs are being made and she is writing an article. One night, while working on her article, Jaymie overhears an argument and, ever the sleuth, sets out to explore. Of course, she stumbles upon a dead body and is compelled to investigate. The romantic storyline is more defined and Jaymie will have to make a decision soon. I enjoyed this book just as I enjoyed the previous ones in the series. I'm looking forward to the next book.
The star of this book was the narrator. She did a great job with the accents. I can't say too much about the book. I didn't find the characters or plot believable. It just didn't grab me.
This is an engaging and interesting series. I hope there are more books to come in the future. The characters are fun and the story moves at fast pace.
