Listening to this audiobook is what I imagine it would be like to consume high levels of methamphetamines. I listened to the entirety of this book and I have no idea why these people were locked into the giant yet unbelievably tiny prison. Nothing saved this book. The characters were vapid, self-absorbed, idiots with the emotional ranges of a rutabaga. The setting was completely unbelievable. The plot was ridiculous. For me, what finally tipped this book from terrible to insufferable was when the main characters managed to find each other in this prison - the prison that is described as never ending, with oceans and forests of metal trees - in a matter of 10 minutes. I am deeply saddened to have wasted hours of my life and pieces of my sanity to this truly dreadful listening experience. It is my heartfelt suggestion that you save yourselves and stay far, far, far away from this impossibly horrible selection.

I can't fault the narrator for the mediocre experience that this audiobook provided. The quality, pacing, and energy of the narrator was more than sufficient... sadly, it was Ms. Chima's story that was lacking. It may be a personal problem, but there is only so much of Raisa's whining that I can take. I actually found myself fast fowarding through the chapters with Raisa just to get past her endless angst. But, for a triology turned tetralogy, I'd say a third installment that felt like a filler was to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend spending your coveted credit on this audiobook only if you are very dedicated Seven Realms fan and lover of emotive teenage monologues.

The narrator of this audiobook was just fantastic!

I am not really a legal thriller kind of girl.. (you can usually find me in the YA fiction or Fantasy section), but this book made a long car ride great. It was entertaining and interesting, the narrator was brilliant, and as an added bonus I now know a little more about criminal defense. Definitely worth a credit.
