Based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

What did you love best about Steve Jobs?

Steve was more misunderstood than he was difficult. This book really helps you to understand why the rumors about him exist but gives adequate explanation to his mindset. While I dont agree with him in some/many cases I certainly respect him. More than anything this was a biograghy for me about APPLE and PIXAR. Those journeys are exceptional. Thats not to minimize Steve Jobs but to actually amplify him in that he didnt chase success he chased perfection and success was automatic.

What other book might you compare Steve Jobs to and why?

First let me say this is my first Biography/Autobiography that I have listened to on audible but I plan on listening to a lot more of them. My personal experience in this was that Steve Jobs while exceptionally different, talented and most certainly smart was nothing special. However there are charcter traits that he had and principles that he lived by that I believe can be emulated in those who are pursuing success. I am on a mission to learn about others now through my audible books.

What does Dylan Baker bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Like Steve Jobs I am a lover of excellence and quality. Dylan did a great job exemplifying the attitude (often careless and carefree) of Steve Jobs especially in how he dealt with other people. In general his voice however is not the most enticing but for the purposes of this book which at times became very technical in its descriptions it was okay. Ultimately, in driving 3 hours a day in the car he made it easy.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No way I'd listen to this book all in one setting. There were however times that I didnt want to stop listening and it was time to get out of the car so that says something I suppose.
