Twenty years ago, a boy named Jack Sawyer traveled to a parallel universe called the Territories to save his mother and her “Twinner” from an agonizing death that would have brought cataclysm to the other world. In The Wind Through the Keyhole, Stephen King has returned to the rich landscape of Mid-World. This story within a story within a story finds Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, in his early days during the guilt-ridden year following his mother’s death. Sent by his father to investigate evidence of a murderous shape-shifter, a "skin-man", Roland takes charge of Bill Streeter, a brave but terrified boy who is the sole surviving witness to the beast’s most recent slaughter.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Not without some knowledge of the series

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Re connecting with Roland and his ka-tet and their quests I would have enjoyed it more if the story didn't blossom into another tale, but I guess that too was part of Roland's early years.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Not really

    Any additional comments?

I thought SK did a fine job telling the story unlike some reviewers, there's just something about his voice I enjoy listening to him...

Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders. months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can.

Most certainly.. If you have read the first 3 you got to read (or listen to) this final chapter.

What does Gerard Doyle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

No one else could do justice to Sophia quite like Gerard.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Quite a few!
