i don't re-listen to any books, as a rule. but i might do just that at some point.
it was just captivating.
he MADE the listen! one of the best narrations i've heard.
i didn't want it to end.
Anyone who enjoyed FLOWERS FROM THE STORM.
no. I purchased this book, not realizing that it was the same author of FLOWERS FROM THE STORM. and about 2 hours through, I can tell it's going to be the same never-ending sex between a naïve, pure little maiden and the big misunderstood man.
yes...FLOWERS FROM THE STORM. good reader. plays the sexy guy well.
I have not even gotten to the long drawn-out sex sessions....but I would cut most of that out and leave some of it to the imagination. it gets boring.
both books, I believe, have good story lines....if only, and I hate to keep harping on this...there was not the 2 hours bedroom sessions. enough already!
I'm returning this book and paying closer attention to the author when I choose a book.
yes. i read the book years ago, but the characters really came to life in the audio book.
mozart's requiem played when she flushed the toilet. it was a wonderful moment!
the touching ending.
renee of course.
the narration was superb!
i'm not finished with it yet but i doubt i will. i'm well into the first half and so far it's just teenage angst. the characters are way to self-aware for their age. it just gets annoying after a while. i hope something interesting happens soon or i will definitely stop listening.
if i had to choose it would be Sky, the main character. but she's annoying as well.
the characters are not realistic.
i couldn't tell if she is an irish woman doing an american accent...or an american doing an irish accent. the narration was great!
yes......i listen to books while i'm walking and can't listen at home.....i walked in a snow storm to listen.
this was an easy listen. interesting, well narrated. no tension, no violence, no murders.(and i do like murder mysteries).. but this was just relaxing and entertaining
have no idea
MUCH LESS repetition. much quicker narration. she was agonizingly slow. i only lasted half an hour.
i only recommend books that were particularly enjoyable. this was only ok.
davina is always excellent
the plot was mundane...the narration was flat except for good russian and scottish accents.
i didn't even finish reading it. i didn't care what happened.
as i said...boredom
