intriguing story about the immortal gods of old that live on another plain messing in the lives of fragile little humans. love wins out in the end, of course. The narrator was good. this was a nice little story that connected the past with the present. It was worth buying.
I found it hard to finish. I had to keep backing up because I kept falling asleep. I can't think of one thing that stands out. No humor, terrible romance, no mystery, I can't even say it's entertaining. I only gave it a 3 because the narration was good.
This book was like Diana Gabaldons Outlander series. It was a good book and I recommend it. The only problem with buying another in the series is that the characters are all different. Instead of following people it seems to follow a town that the original character founded and named. The biggest problem I see in buying another in the series is the change in narrator's. You just can't replace Davina Porter.
I almost didn't get this book. WOW what a book.In the end I cried with sorrow then happy tears THEN SHIVERS UP AND DOWN MY SPINE. I don't usually like parallel stories but both stories were so enthralling I didn't know which one I was interested in the most. Don't pass on this book.
I can't wait for the next book. This book was great but it leaves you hanging. Jamie and Clair are still apart, Ein? William? Jennie? Roger, Brianna and on and on and on?????? I do love the suspense but the next book is not even recorded yet. It better be read by davina Porter.
Nice little tie up to the outlander series but I miss davina porter so much that I searched books read by her and purchased one of those.
Killing Lincoln put me right in the middle of the Action, try that one, pass on this one.
Over all I did learn a few things. The majority of what I learned came at the last half of the book. Mostly I am amazed at the extent and continuous persecution of the Jews from well before Christ until even now. I enjoyed killing Lincoln more. killing Lincoln took me right to the Times, this book did not.I found this book a mere lesson in history and.try as I might I couldn't imagine being there.
There is another book -WRITEN IN MY OWN HEARTS BLOOD- But it's not in audio yet. This book was so good but it leaves you hanging. Jamie and Clair are still apart, what happens with Ian? what about Jennie? now she's in America. what about Fergous? And then there's Brianna, Roger and the kids. This is terrible, I want more!!!!!!
These were comical. I was a little disappointed, I thought they would resemble the fairytales of my youth put only a few of them did.
This book was wonderful. Interesting, exciting, well written and well read. I couldn't put it down. This author should write more books about highlanders and time travel, I just loved it.
