One of the best audiobooks. It's very well-written, the plot is great and the performance was good.
I'm not a very big fan of the cross between crime- and love stories that seem to be a getting big especially with female crime writers. I don't mind a love story intertwined with the crime plot but sometimes, as with this novel, it just feels a little bit to Danielle Steele-ish for my taste.
The character gallery is very well described. The plot is not as fast paced as some other detective novels, but the story is so well thought out and the characters so well described that you still want to know more. One of the best listens I've had for a long time.
Mark Hammer has a very distinctive voice and style. I'm a very big fan of the Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly and have thus listened to many audiobooks narrated by Mark Hammer. It took a little while to get used to his somewhat sniveling style but I have grown to like like it very much.
I bought this book thinking it was in the crime/thriller genre. It turns out to be much more of a drama/historical drama. Maybe it isn't necessarily a bad storyline but it is very slow paced and long.
This book could've been written by a teenage girl. The characters are uninteresting. The plot is simple.
It was well written and I was fairly captivated, but there are so many referals to the previous book in the Scarpetta series that I would definitely recommend reading that first.
I think I might. The story is well-written and semi-capturing but for some reason I don't feel like I really get to know the characters. Lacks a bit of depth.
I probably wouldn't. The stories are well-written but I find that the short story style is not well fitted for audio.
The performance was fine and I have no issues with the way that Kate rudd narrates. I would probably not chose another book by Kendra Elliot again.
None. I found the descriptions of the characters to stretched and their actions too far from reality for me to be convinced.
If you're really into romance novels you will like this one.
I would see the movie, but would probably wait until it came out on DVD:)
As mentioned in the headline, the story is entertaining and but not one of the best.
