Would you try another book from Kendra Elliot and/or Kate Rudd?

The performance was fine and I have no issues with the way that Kate rudd narrates. I would probably not chose another book by Kendra Elliot again.

Which character – as performed by Kate Rudd – was your favorite?

None. I found the descriptions of the characters to stretched and their actions too far from reality for me to be convinced.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

If you're really into romance novels you will like this one.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I bought this book thinking it was in the crime/thriller genre. It turns out to be much more of a drama/historical drama. Maybe it isn't necessarily a bad storyline but it is very slow paced and long.

What disappointed you about Angel Fire?

This book could've been written by a teenage girl. The characters are uninteresting. The plot is simple.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was well written and I was fairly captivated, but there are so many referals to the previous book in the Scarpetta series that I would definitely recommend reading that first.

Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in "The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas". As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived, and famously testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.

Would you try another book from Gillian Flynn and/or the narrators?

I think I might. The story is well-written and semi-capturing but for some reason I don't feel like I really get to know the characters. Lacks a bit of depth.

When a different kind of justice is needed—swift, effective, and personal—a new type of avenger must take action. In Vengeance, best-selling author Lee Child, “a superb craftsman of suspense” (Entertainment Weekly), presents 21 riveting stories from some of today’s top crime writers.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would you be willing to try another one of Susan Ericksen’s performances?

Definitely not. She starts this book out with trying to do an Irish accent for almost the entire 1st chapter. She was so bad, that it ruined the whole experience for me, and I really couldnt' concentrate on the story.

Would you try another book from J. A. Jance and/or Gene Engene?

I have tried other books by J.A. Jance and they are ususally quite good. Good plot and well written. This one was not the most ecxiting, but being the first in the series, it provides some background info that is usefull (but not imperative), when listening to other books in the series.

Would you be willing to try another book from J. A. Jance? Why or why not?

    yes

What about Gene Engene’s performance did you like?

He has a good voice and doesnt' overdo it, when portaying the different characters.
