I like the narrator and the author in her "Rachel Morgan: Hollows" books. However this book just wasn't for me. It was short, and not much content. There wasn't a lot of background given in the beginning, and the ending just like cut-off the story. I just didn't like it.
I loved every single part about this book honestly. However I think the part I loved the MOST was Mercy and how she interacted with Christy.
Most definitely! I didn't want to stop.
I've always loved these books from the beginning. This book makes me want to go back and re-read (listen) to all of them again. The author makes things that happen in these books seem like normal life day-to-day happenings. I absolutely love these books, and can't wait for the next one. The author is great with details, because she really helps you imagine each scene as if you could really see it. Don't forget the narrator! She is great with all of her different characters.
The writer in the first Book, and most of the 2nd was great. The narrators were awesome also. However in the last book it was just too much. I think the story should have ended after the 2nd if anything.
No, but may have turned me off from the movie.
The story line was slow and boring. The narrator's voices are starting to get less and less different so as all the characters are beginning to sound alike. I'd also like to know when Milo began having that accent??!!
Gave it a better storyline. The CIA looking for a drone just wasn't thrilling.
I hope the next book is much better.
I'm so hooked on this series! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes supernatural, fiction series.
Her different voices for each character are great. All her different accents are even all on point. I get a kick out of hearing some of them.
If you liked it from the beginning keep on reading because they just keep coming back with more good stuff. I like how there's just enough romance, and not too much blood and gore. I just love it.
I'm now addicted to this series. It's one of those things you don't want to stop listening to. The different voices for the characters is great. I love Jynx. The hyper quick talk is funny. I can't wait to read the next one! If you like fiction, supernatural and suspense/mystery this is for you!
I am now addicted to this series! The narrator is great with the different characters, and not dull at all. I've noticed things I've read in other books lately are the same "myths" as in this book. I like being able to draw the line between backgrounds in fiction. If you like fiction, mysteries, and supernatural this IS for you.
A different narrator (not so monotone) and a better story line. It doesn't even start off giving you any background to the story, it just dives right in. I'm completely lost. I think I've only gotten an hour in but it has yet to grab my attention. Even though I only paid $4.95 for the book I still feel ripped off.
Yes, if they like the series.
I was upset with one of the twists, so early in the series too. I just hope Patterson makes the outcome good in the next books. Not to big on the sound effects used, but other than that it was a good book. I like the reader, have listened to her on a few other books. Some people say she's monotone and doesn't change characters well, but in this book she did good. The story line was really good, with suspense. Like I said in the beginning, it has a few twists with one being very unexpected. All in all a good "read". Love the series.
I like the TV show very much. I thought I'd like to get in to the full length story, but the narrator's little girl voice was just too much for me. Yes I know the book is for teens, but come on. You could have done better than that!
