The narrator. I understand that the book is about introverts, but did they have to give me someone that would put me to sleep to read it?!?

Maybe...

I wish the narrator could have put some more inflection into her voice. I felt it too breathy for a non-fiction title.

Nope.

I was a fan of Mayday, an airline disaster novel that I had listened to years ago, and will probably at some point buy here on Audible so that I have a copy of my own to re-listen to. When I saw Mr. Demille's name on the featured list, I decided to finally delve into another of his books. The reader certainly made this one for me. I thought it had some interesting moments, but at times, some things happened a bit too fast, and the story had a few inconsistencies of tone. Overall however, it was an entertaining read.

I'm a huge fan of Julia Child--her cooking, her television shows, her unique voice. It all comes through in this memoir, which I had the pleasure of finally listening to after taking a trip to France. The stories that are retold by Ms. Child are light and fun to listen to. Some have criticized the reader here--but I couldn't really see why. It could have only been better if Ms. Child had read the book herself.

Take a journey with Mr. & Mrs. Child. You won't regret it.

I'm a fan of Mr. Carr's writings in the New York Times, and was fascinated to hear about his book. However, what I got was an overwrought, unfocused mess. You'd think that a story of addiction would be totally engrossing, as the reader takes you through Carr's early days of drinking, and drugging, but I found it incredibly dull, which was a suprize!! Take a listen before you buy.

If you're already a fan of the Jack Reacher series, a lot of the same elements are here-- a stranger wandering along the road comes into a nefarious situation that he works with a colleague (usually a female), to try and find out who's behind the situation. This one uses the formula well, and Mr. Hill does another great job as narrator of the series. He's one of my favorites. I recommend whole heartedly!

When I first saw this book come up in a search, I thought that it would be a well paced, survival story of two people hoping to be rescued from a remote island. What I got was a sappy, inappropriate love story between a 30 year old woman and a 17 year old. The first quarter of the story has the two stranded on the island for an insane amount of time before getting the story going.

The use of one narrator for a book that tries to tell the story from both character's points of view was annoying, as the poor production quality (too many fast, and unnatural cuts) made it hard to follow who I was hearing from until I heard a line about the boy's sex drive brought me back to earth.

I was going to try and finish it--but I can't bring myself to do it. I for one can appreciate a good story, no matter who it's for, but this one was sorely missing it.

I would recommend this book to another person who might be an avid audiobook listener. I say this, because I found at some parts of this story, I was checking to see which part I was on, because the book is just a little too long. However, the performance of the narrator, and the story itself gets you so caught up, that I had a few

I liked the idea of time travel in the story, and some of the ways that it was explained how it worked. Although there are still some big holes in the premise, it was still very entertaining.

He gives the character of Jake Epping/George Amberson a humanity that wouldn't have come right off of the page. Also, Mr. Wasson gives a distinct voice and character to each player in the book.

I did laugh a few times, but when I started part 4 I started to wonder...

If you look at this book as more of a dramatization of Abagnale's life, instead of a straight memoir, then you can probably get into it. It wasn't bad, just a little much at times, and the narrator is a little whiny at times but, I liked it.

Not a bad book. It's definately an interesting read from Ms. Patricia R. Floyd, who is always great. However, the book has a few things in it that just seem implausible, and overly dramatic, but that's usually par for the course for novels like these. Very entertaining.
