The title character from ABC's hit television series Castle kicks off his new series of books featuring tough and sexy New York police detective Nikki Heat with a bang.

Donna says: "Not like the show......."
    "Good book terrible narrator"
    Overall

I love the TV show and I liked to listen to the book. I decided to also read the book and it was much better with the voices in my head. Many times the narrator makes the book but not in this case. He did not annoy me enough to quit listening but I will not listen to another Richard Castle book if he narrates it. I think a woman would have been a better reader since the lead was a woman.

Rumor has it that a collection of priceless ancient relics representing the Seven Deadly Sins have made their way to Boston’s North Shore. The black-haired, black-hearted Wulf is on the hunt for the relic representing gluttony. This book is great. Kind of like Stephanie Plum with magic. I love Stephanie Plum but it is getting a little old. I like this book and want to see Deisel in a new series.

  • Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal

    • UNABRIDGED (15 hrs and 20 mins)
    • By Christopher Moore
    • Narrated By Fisher Stevens

    Story
    (1113)

Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

Hope says: "A Worthy Book, indeed"
    "Moore's best book ever"
    Overall

I loved this book. I don't usually listen to a book more than once but I have listened to this 3 times.

All good things, even laughter and orange marmalade cake, must come to an end. And in Light from Heaven, the long-anticipated final volume in the phenomenally successful Mitford Years series, Karon deftly ties up all the loose ends of Father Timothy Kavanagh's deeply affecting life.

Mary says: "Parting Is Sweet Sorrow"
"Not as good as the rest of the series"
    Overall

I was a little disappointed in this finale but it was good to see how all the characters where doing.
It is good but don't get it unless you have read all the other books first!

He's Hollywood's most dazzling star, who is worshiped by millions and hated by one twisted soul. His existence is under siege as a series of terrifying, enigmatic "messages" breaches the security systems of his Bel Air estate. The boxes arrive mysteriously, one by one, at Channing Manheim's compound. Manheim's security chief, ex-cop Ethan Truman, is used to looking beneath the surface of things. But until he entered the orbit of a Hollywood icon, he had no idea just how slippery reality could be.

A little bit lighter than his books lately (not as gory!). Interesting premise about anarchy. One of his best!
