"Couldn't bring myself to finish it"
Sci Fi writers and people who study the human condition with everything that makes us awful.
Developed the world a bit more so I could try to find something to latch onto. The characters were not strong enough to do that.
He has a good ability to do male and female characters. He was also easy to understand.
Disappointment; like others I picked this book based on Gaiman's recommendation and found it lacking.
I could see how things were going to connect between the three main characters within the first hour or so and there wasn't much else to look forward to from that point on.
"Great stories but not the voice acting"
the voice acting can take awhile to get used to and it's not very good but the story elevates the book to a good rating
"Wow, Richard K does it again"
the intricate world building
It was similar in darkness to the Kovach series but while maintaining a certain level of hope.
his curses.....the man knows how to deliver curse words.
I laughed and cried actually
If you like his other books; you'll like this one
"Good but not worth using your credit, just buy it"
I'd recommend it to fans of the Joe Ledger series but it is too short to waste a credit on.
Ray's performance was amazing as usual.
"Was much better after the first hour but..."
The horror element of the story can be campy at times but it's actually very good. What surprised me though was how the book ended. It wasn't a cliff-hanger but many of the characters in the story, and there are a few, didn't have any real conclusion. The whole book felt like a setup for the sequel which is something that one usually feels while reading the second book.
"Good but VERY short"
If you've already read Patient Zero, just skip this. If you are thinking about reading Patient Zero then READ THIS!!
"The best in the series!"
I finally finished listening to Last Sacrifice. I thought it was the best book in the series! Emily Shaffer did a great job narrating the story and giving different voices/accents to the many characters in the book. The music and sound effects were a nice touch as well.
Although Richelle Mead tied up the major loose ends of the series, there were a few minor details left unfinished???however, I have a feeling they will be resolved in her spin-off series coming out next summer!
This book was bittersweet, but absolutely brilliant. I hope you enjoy [listening to/reading] it as much as I did!
"Frosty!"
I am really enjoying the Vampire Academy series. This is the 2nd book and it's better written than the first one. (The first book confused me and had no introductions or background to the story)
The narrator of this book gave Rose a whiny voice which was annoying at first, but then I got used to her narrating.
Overall, I liked the story and am really liking the series.
