Lacey Terwilligers shock and humiliation over her husband’s philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass email to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town, a media punch line, and the defendant in Mike's defamation lawsuit.

Heroine versus "other woman" at the beauty parlour for one.

Amanda Ronconi is a consummate professional. I'd listen to almost anything she read

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it’s up to “young” vamp Gregori Holstein, VP of Marketing, to persuade the U.S. government to declare the video a hoax. But first the president wants a favor, one that requires Gregori to spend forty-eight hours in very close contact with the First Daughter. Abby Tucker would rather spend her nights in a lab than attend her father’s state dinners. She’s dedicated her life to finding a cure that will save her dying mother and needs only two more ingredients. To find them, she’ll have to venture into the most dangerous region of the world....

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The Narrator. It has always been such a pleasure to listen to this series, until now.

What did you like best about this story?

There is action, romance and pathos. Something for everyone.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The "Sesame St". voices assigned to the characters were extremely irritating and reduced them in dimension to figures of ridicule, completely spoiling my listening experience. This was a shame as it was competent apart from that. Obviously this narrator had not listened to any of the previous books, unlike the purchasers, which would have helped in characterisation. The previous reader did a much better job, why the change?

    Any additional comments?

Tell the Narrator to stop patronising paying customers, this is not a kindergarten library corner!

Where does Bones Are Forever rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This would be in my Top 5 so far this year, and I get through a lot of titles from various sources.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bones Are Forever?

Hard to single out one particular sgement as it held my attention throughout.

What about Linda Emond’s performance did you like?

A sound and professional delivery, which enables the listener to concentrate on the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had to listen to it without interruption.Too good to put down.

    Any additional comments?

An interesting and absorbing story and, as is usual with Kathy Reichs, highly informative as well. I'll be storing this to listen to again. There is always a long wait between her titles, but they are worth it.

Lauren is downtown Chicago's youngest elite realtor. She's also a witch. She must be - the fetching spell for Witches' Chat isn't supposed to make mistakes. So says the woman who coded the spell, at least. The tall, dark, and handsome guy sent to assess her is a witch too (and no, that doesn't end the way you might think). What he finds in Lauren will change lives, mess with a perfectly good career, and require lots of ice cream therapy.

Would you try another book from Debora Geary and/or Martha Harmon Pardee?

    Never.

Has A Modern Witch turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No, merely the author

Would you be willing to try another one of Martha Harmon Pardee’s performances?

No. She reads as if she is a very elderly schoolteacher with an audience of extremely young children.Ugh!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Annoyance at being duped.

    Any additional comments?

Nauseatingly "nice" and sickly sweet, and nothing interesting happens, at least up to the point where I threw the iPod across the room in a fury.

Now the world at large thinks Samantha has developed a rare skin disease, a disease which forces her to quit her day job and stay out of the light of the sun.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes. I liked the author's fresh approach and imaginative employment of a vampire's abilities together with some of the drawbacks. Just how would you cope with being a single parent of a non-vampire child in this situation?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Moon Dance?

The leap from a tall building was a suspenseful moment.

What does Dina Pearlman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is one top-class reader. She copes with the author's eccentric grammar without missing a beat, and conveys the emotions of the characters impeccably. I'd enjoy listening to her again.

Could you see Moon Dance being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It's a possibility, after all, 'Moonlight' was a very entertaining series.

    Any additional comments?

I'll be interested in seeing this writer develop.

Window Rock, Arizona, is the last known location of Honor Roberts, who vanished when she was just 13. It was her only sanctuary from the Breed research that would surely have ended in her death - one such insidious experiment should, indeed, have killed her. That she lived is both a miracle - and a great mystery. Stygian's mission is to find Honor Roberts, no matter the cost. Now, with the help of Liza Johnson, assistant to the chief of the Navajo Nation, he is closer than ever to his goal. But will the discovery of Honor Roberts mean the destruction of the mating heat that has developed between Stygian and Liza?

What did you love best about Stygian's Honor?

Jonas Wyatt continues his agonising search for the solution to his adopted daughter's life-threatening condition. Can Stygian's mate provide the answer?

Would you recommend Stygian's Honor to your friends? Why or why not?

This is one of the weaker tales, but a fan of the Breeds series may forgive it's shortcomings.I fear that Lora Leigh is endowing her characters with just too many scenting skills. Envy, determination, frustration? Oh Please! most of us can detect that by looking at someone.

What about Brianna Bronte’s performance did you like?

The reader is consistently good and keeps the story moving along without intruding upon the atmosphere

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were a couple of moments when I wished that Stygian could run as fast as possible from the spoilt infant that Fate had provided as a mate. Did she have to talk like a 12 year old? A virgin at 27, well no wonder! Nobody but a saint would take her on.

    Any additional comments?

I am a big fan of the Breeds books but this one falls short. It felt as if was written for a much younger reader.

What would have made Dark Prince better?

A better reader might have helped me finish the book

Has Dark Prince turned you off from other books in this genre?

I usually like this author, but will not buy any read by this person

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Abby Craden?

Tom Stechschulte often reads for this author and does an excellent job

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment

    Any additional comments?

The reader droned through the prose with the sepulchral tones one might expect from a very bad, old-fashioned preacher, but hammed-up the dialogue so that one might feel they were listening to a conversation between "Lurch" and "Tweetie-pie".

Historian Diana Bishop, descended from a line of powerful witches, and long-lived vampire Matthew Clairmont have broken the laws dividing creatures. When Diana discovered a significant alchemical manuscript in the Bodleian Library, she sparked a struggle in which she became bound to Matthew. Now the fragile coexistence of witches, daemons, vampires and humans is dangerously threatened. Seeking safety, Diana and Matthew travel back in time to London, 1590.

Would you listen to Shadow of Night again? Why?

Read it twice so far, and won't be deleting it in a hurry. It was a joy to have such a thoroughly well-researched novel from a writer who obviously loves her subject. So many other historically based offerings fall down badly with their jarring ignorance of the social mores of the time, but this one actually generates an interest to learn more.

What other book might you compare Shadow of Night to and why?

Diana Gabaldon's time-travelling series come close.

Have you listened to any of Jennifer Ikeda’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have only heard this reader's performance for the first of this (All Souls) series.
She does an excellent job of reading and although there are a few mispronunciations, she has very good breath control and the ability to recognise punctuation and it's purpose . Overall she captures the personalities of the characters and draws the listener into the story. I would listen to her again with pleasure

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were too many moving passages to list here but Diana's jeopardy in the tilt-yard at Greenwich, at the hands of Marlowe and Louisa had high tension, and the bitter-sweet homecoming to Sept Tours left me thirsting for more details.

    Any additional comments?

I'm really looking forward to the third volume in this series, please make it soon!

In all his 400 years, Rayven never met a woman like Rhianna McLeod. She is a vision of light, of warmth, of everything he is not - nor can ever be. Doomed to live forever in darkness and solitude, he knows all too well the risk in getting close to her, yet he hungers for her with a fierce passion he swears he will never allow himself to feel. Rhianna's father sold her to Rayven to put food on the table so she had no choice but to go with the dark stranger. To her surprise, he gives her everything she wants: the finest clothes, education, and the run of the castle - everything, that is, except his touch.

What would have made A Darker Dream (Love Spell Romance) better?

    Nothing could salvage this

Has A Darker Dream (Love Spell Romance) turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Yes

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Narrator sounded like Ralphie from The Simpsons, faking (badly) an Irish accent. Wildly wrong for a story set in the south of England. Giving the heroine a child-like voice made it even more annoying.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    None whatsoever

    Any additional comments?

    I'd have found a 'phone-book more entertaining.

Would you consider the audio edition of Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors to be better than the print version?

I have only "read" the audio version so cannot make a comparison

What did you like best about this story?

I just loved the tongue-in-cheek humour and fast pace of the story.

Which character – as performed by Amanda Ronconi – was your favorite?

    Jane - of course!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. Luckily I put it on my iPod and shut out the rest of the world.

    Any additional comments?

The combination of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi make all titles in the range "must haves". They make a cheery alternative to all doom and gloom on TV.
