    I really liked this book but didn't realize it was part of a series, so maybe that's why I'm in the dark. The character development was great and the narrator was wonderful, but the ending left me totally puzzled. When the book begins, one of the main characters is in ICU, but that loop is never closed so I don't know why they're there or what happened to them. Perhaps the next book will fill in the blanks.

    I purchased this book after reading the glowing reviews and was thoroughly disappointed. It's a nice enough story, but it wanders all over the place ... just like Henry. A total waste of time!!

    Like other reviewers, I've read all of the Lucas Davenport books and remember a far different Lucas than the one in this book. Where is his cleverness? The book is formulaic, and while I'm glad I got the book for $9.95, it's really not worth it. Heck, it's not worth $.25!

    Even if you're not a sports fan (and I'm really not), this book is simply laugh out loud fun. Mr. McGough writes as if he's talking to you, and he writes well. The stories are funny, the characters are wonderful, and it made me want to find out if there were any jobs with the Yankees.
