"Recycled SS versus Posleen"
Great concept, Waffen SS versus Posleen. It's a great insight as to how blind cosmopolitan progressives can be when they resist the formation of a fighting force to counter the Posleen invaders which will surely devour them. Would love to see additional Tom Kratman novels on audio. PLEASE!!
"A Terrific Mystery With A Canine Twist"
This is just a wonderful story with two heros, one human and one K-9, It grabs you from the first sentence and doesn't let up til the last word is spoken. Good narration caps off a stellar performance. And it sheds light on a problem, PTSD, that so many must live with everyday. If you love dogs, this one is for you. If you love crackling good crime stories, this one is for you. If you just like a great yarn, this is for you, for sure. Don't miss it! I really hope Robert Crais brings back this crime fighting duo, Scott and Maggie, in many more stories, More than worth a credit. Get it NOW.
Scott and Maggie were the starts of the show. They were able to work through their PTSD to triumph together
Maggie
The pack is everything
"Good fill in til the next real Jack Reacher book"
I like the Reacher series and this reads like it belongs there
Could easily fit into the Reacher series
Performance good but below that clipped delivery I've grown to like in the Reacher books
No
Jack Reacher..John Puller. Really? I wonder how long until we get one staring Jim Lifter or Jonas Jumper. Both with brothers in distress, both with Army cop backgrounds. Still, until the next Reacher book, comes along its worth a credit, if you like the Reacher genre. Give it a listen.
"Wow, a new look at history and really fascinating"
The story is a first person inside look at the ministry of Jesus Christ.
The one on one approach to the greatest story ever told. Listens like a novel
The climax
It made me think about what I have always believed
It is set up like a science fiction novel, but told as fact, as if you are walking with the protagonist, seeing it all first hand. Riviting!
"Another outstanding effort, Terrific!!"
So vivid I had to take frequent breaks to think about what the author's characters were telling me. Wonderfully presented with really three dimensional views of the hell that our guys had to face at Okinawa. This was about the best book for me, this year. I was sorry that it was over. Buy it, its well worth your while.
"Classic Whodunnit"
I had some serious doubts about this one. Not a big fan of reporter based crime stories but wow was I wrong. And the narrator does a simply superb job as well. This may (I hope) be the first book in a great series, and a welcome addition to my authors list now that we have lost Robert Parker's Spenser series. Give "Rogue Island" a try, if you like really good mystery/crime with characters that are pretty well developed, this is for you
"Hot action at the Hot Gate"
If you're looking for terrific military sf, John Ringo delivers again. Definitely sets you up for next volume. And the story unfolds into new characters and story lines. Although I kind of miss the hardy New England souls in book one, the new folk make up for the lack. Not for tofu eaters though.
"Avoid Burt Reynolds Narration"
Parkers books are all five star. But Burt Reynolds narration is below terrible. Big chunks are literally unintelligible. I gave 2 stars on the basis of the story, but I would strongly suggest you save your credit and avoid this audio book. Fine actor, terrible book narration. Buy the paper book and record it yourself, it'd sound better!!!
"Neat SF/Gothic/Fantasy combo"
A good invasion S/F military story with a neat ending. I liked it all. I mean, if you buy space invaders, whats the problem with buying an old school gothic ending. I wish there could be a continuation as a series
"Good but not Hillerman"
Good suspense and well developed characters. And, a lot of surprises in the plot. Pretty graphic though, a route not taken by Tony Hillerman. I hope Audible supplies us with future episodes. Its a solid four stars.
"Start of a swashbuckling series"
Top notch. Plenty of information about the lower deck in the age of sail. The only problem I had is that the hero always had perfect luck. He always ducks just as the cannonball zooms past. But if you can get past everything always coming up roses effect, its a fun read. There are many more books in this series and I look forward to audible offering them. Its well worth a credit.
