"A good tale and action!"
This is a good story with Eric who is s really easy going character and just happen to plan for the end of the world with his new buddy Gabe. It is a all out interesting story as Eric interacts with people better in a Zombie Apocalypse than before in a normal world. You will not be disappointed in this story.
"Who Wrote this book?"
Wow, I listened to this book for about the first four hours and then began to realize that this is not what I expected. This is what we waited 2 years for? I can't believe at all this is the same Author who wrote the 1st two books which are among one of my favorites in Zombie culture titles. I loved the series and told all my friends how this one series was an all night scary listen! But this book was not the same timeline format as the first two successful books.
This storyline jumps like a cat dancing on a hot plate as I was back and forth trying to figure out what and why did he bring in new characters and ignore the pre-established ones we loved and cared about. The name Kill as a character said it all as I groaned as bad as the zombie's moaning in the story. Why and how he made the main character act like a whinney B_tch is unforgivable to start and how predictable it played out was no surprise. I have to believe this was a paycheck to the writer as there was no effort put into this book.
How and why The Author changed the format was bad advice, maybe because he was on deployment most of these years, it may have distracted his focus. I would have gladly waited another year for a more suspenseful type story just like the first two books were written.
I know this is a harsh review but I really feel let down as a reader and fan of the series.
I would recomend people to just pass on this version and hope there is another creative author that could do a timeline Zombie tale.
"One to pass on"
This book was written too descriptive, if you could belive that. The Author kept using big words on mindless matters that clouded the storyline. Example : Solar flare: A solar flare is a sudden brightening observed over the Sun's surface or the solar limb, which is interpreted as a large energy release of up to 6 × 1025 joules of energy (about a sixth of the total energy output of the Sun each second or 160,000,000,000 megatons of TNT equivalent, over 25,000 times more energy than released from the impact of Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9 with Jupiter). They are mainly followed by a colossal coronal mass ejection also known as a CME[1]. The flare ejects clouds of electrons, ions, and atoms through the corona of the sun into space. These clouds typically reach Earth a day or two after the event and so and so and so on...........Boring as can be....... Why not write more about the characters of the book than the rantings of a nerd topic go wild?
This is not a book,it read more like a research paper only a 2nd year intern would grade as he would just look at the 1st 2 and last 2 pages of the book to score!!
I would say that this novel would be a great cure for those suffering in (Insomnia), or sleeplessness, is an individual's reported sleeping difficulties. Yes a perfect answer for those in need!
"A family Guy version of a ZOmbiE Invasion!"
AS i listen to this storyline and how this guy Mike Talbot , His life is a cross between AL Bundy luck from ( Married with Children) and Peter Griffin sense of humor from (Family Guy). there is alot of action and if it could go wrong for Mike in the story, It is predicatble it will!!!
But there is somekind of intervention keeping this guy and his family alive as all falls around them, but with a sick humor, they managle to pull it out and live for one more day! It is funny writtng and dialogue as you listen to this book and more of the series. Alot of the Guy code references are involed with this book, so you women may not catch the man humor of it. But you will enjoy it regardless as the witty writing will explaing the tough punchlines and historical referense.
"A Pony Express magical adventure"
This book starts off with a runaway girl falling into the role of a Green Rider and the adventure begins from that. Alot of twist and turns with the character as she must struggle to overcome what evil has throw at her.
Most of the storyline is predictable sorry to say and I never really felt the main character in the story as in dire need of dying when in the middle of a enemy ambush. I had a feeling of knowing the script before it was even said. So , I wouldn't recomend it to a friend as I have a lot more patience than most to continue listening to a mondane dialog as alot is said which makes no sense in this story and you know it is for book two benefit to make sense.
"A Must for all Trekkies"
This is a very informative book on the wisdom of economics in a ruthless style. It is witty and very funny as the narrative is typical Ferengi greed at its best.
"THIS IS A EASY SCORE AS GUYS WOULD SAY!!!"
I held out for a while on buying this series , but it keep coming back in my mine about the plot from book one. It was something new with a twist and finally I purchase book one and have been panicked for the next one! As my title says, it is a easy winner with all the curves and bumps most need in life to enjoy a good time. Giving just enough to keep you wanting for more and working on the second mind of pleasures most of use to enjoy.
"This was a 7th inning win!"
I had a issue with his last book , but he must have put some more effort in this one as it was a good listen. I like the character flow this time and enjoyed the descriptions of the foreign landscape in this book. It was not a great plot kinda all over the map but, I did enjoy another Dirk adventure in this series.
"totally disappointed"
This is one of the worst audiobook I have ever purchase!
Will move on to CliveCussler audio's, but he has fallen into the repentative of the same plot and perdictable ending.
The focus of the main character was lost. If I wanted a book on politics , I would have purchase a Obamas guide on how to run the country to the ground. This story line was so boring as it was a skipping record that continue to go on and on on the same point of view of how Maticaore was weak. Please , this was like having a tooth pulled for about 8 hours with it still no conclusion. This book left me feeling like I was ripped off. The battle ended in 1/2 a chapter in the middle of the book and was described like a aftger thought. You could have put the main character Honor in just one chapter total. she was mention here and ther but never was really part of this book?
I could have missed this book and still not miss much in the storyline. This to me was a paycheck for the author and a real peace of trash. Did the publisher even read this story? , I doubt it.
I have all the series books on audio and am really disappointed with this book and would maybe like to wait for the final one of the series if at all. I don't really have much faith in the author effort in his story telling and see how he have buried this great character he has created.
