I would have rated this book higher if it had not been for the main character Sara. She was such a ridiculous, whiny, bossy, foolish character for me that it detracted from the story. She was much too irritating for me. I would have back handed her. Lol. Nathan had the patience of Job. I, on the other hand found her too tedious too like.
This is my first book by Sherry Thomas. It is oddly written. I did not like the book at all.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I loved it. Couldn't stop listening. It was touching, humorous and sad. Where can I find a Sir Creed? Narrator Brad Wills used a heavenly deep voice for Creed. A well done book.
I have Scottish blood running through my veins. Narrator Keiran Elliott's accent was music to my ears. I loved the story, I loved the narrator and the story had a little mystery to it. I for one could not find any fault with the book nor the narrator. My Nana was born in Scotland. Our clan's motto is Bydand!
I would have given 4 stars for the story but it got so tedious towards the end. The two characters became tiresome by their flip flopping feelings. Too many flip flops for me. As always Anne Flosnik's narrating was excellent.
All I can say is I can't wait for book 6. I am hooked on Matthew Corbett. Edoardo Ballerini is an excellent narrator for this excellent story.
Once in a while I will read a book that brings a tear to my eye. This book was one. Abbi's own naivete helps create her sad situation. You can almost feel her pain. I liked this book a lot.
I enjoyed this book. It had romance, mystery, and a great narrator. The story kept me guessing right up to the end.
Perhaps with a different narrator this book would be better. I thought the narrator was terrible. I stopped listening, I couldn't take it.
The Vikings were a violent people living in violent times. Rape, murder, and pillage. It's what they did best. It's a very sad disturbing story. A very dark book brought to life by one of my favorite narrators Anne Flosnik,
I loved this book by Sara Donati. The entire series is excellent. A well done historical novel series. Early America, is trials, it's tribulations, it's successes, it's people. A heart warming story of one extended family.
