The narrator is horrible. I thought she sounded very inexperienced. Like a bad actress in a "B" movie. I have not had good luck buying their sale books. I will be very reluctant to buy more books at $4.95. Buyer beware.
Book 3 of the MacKinnon's Rangers series did not disappoint. Kaleo Griffith is a wonderful narrator. I had not heard him until this series. He brought the Mackinnons and the Rangers to life. Historically very interesting. I would like to make an observation here. Why do authors these days have to be so sexually explicit in their books? I would have given the story 5 stars if it had not been for the explicit sex.
History, romance, sex, all in one book. If you like historical romance novels you can't go wrong with the MacKinnon's and their Rangers. Wonderful book.
If you like historical romantic novels you can not go wrong with Mackinnon's Rangers. Great story based around early American history, great narrator. I am now on book 2.
Rosalyn Landor is one of my favorite narrators but this story was just plain boring. The best narrator in the world could not help this book.
Rosalyn Landor is one of my favorite narrators. In Saving Grace she does much justice to Julie Garwood's novel. A great combination of writer and narrator. I loved the book.
MacNab Ashford is a good narrator. The story line itself was interesting but it was laced with "tales from the dark side" of people's morality. Storm did not give much of a fight to save her virtues. Did people really behave like that then? I wonder....
I would have rated this book higher if it had not been for the main character Sara. She was such a ridiculous, whiny, bossy, foolish character for me that it detracted from the story. She was much too irritating for me. I would have back handed her. Lol. Nathan had the patience of Job. I, on the other hand found her too tedious too like.
This is one of the best books I have listened to in a long time. I hated it to end. The combined talents of the author and the narrator make it a wonderful listen. I found myself very emotional. I can not honestly say that there have not been many books to bring me to tears. I would be amazed if whoever reads this book is not as touched by it as I was. Anyone have any kleenex?
I loved this book from beginning to end. A lovely story by one of my favorite narrators.
I was under the assumption this was a romantic novel. I would not classify it in that category. Very little romance but a lot of trials and tribulations for the heroine. One trial after another to test her at every turn. Susan Duerdan is one of my favorite narrators. This was my first book by Meg Rosoff. I would have wished better for the heroine. Meg Rosoff did a very good job with her story.
