Noah Forman wakes up in a hospital and can’t remember how he got there. He holds it together, taking comfort in the fact that the man he has loved since childhood, his partner, Clark Lehman, is on his way. But when Clark finally arrives, Noah is horrified to discover that he doesn’t remember anything from the past three years, and he simply can’t understand why. It will take some painful confrontations if Noah’s going to figure out why he’s lost all memories of his recent past...and secure the future he’s dreamed of having.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I loved the characters, and the story, but at times I got confused with the past and present points of view. It went back and forth quite a bit. I also find it hard to believe that anyone would try and prove that the person that loves them would never abandon them by getting caught with someone else sucking them off... Otherwise, loved it! Great characters, and interesting story.

    Any additional comments?

I've read a few of the other stories in this particular series, and plan to read them all. I really like the writer ;0

Do you believe in love at first sight? Paul Auster doesn't. Paul doesn't believe in much at all. He's thirty, slightly overweight, and his best features are his acerbic wit and the color commentary he provides as life passes him by. His closest friends are a two-legged dog named Wheels and a quasibipolar drag queen named Helena Handbasket. He works a dead-end job in a soul-sucking cubicle, and if his grandmother's homophobic parrot insults him one more time, Paul is going to wring its stupid neck.

Would you listen to Tell Me It's Real again? Why?

Over and over again, no doubt. I live for books this entertaining!

What other book might you compare Tell Me It's Real to and why?

Usually I stick to books narrated by Sean Crisden. He is by far my favorite narrator, but I think Mr. Crisden might have competition now. Michael Lesley gives such life to the characters in this story! I didn't like his Gramma Gigi though. Why did he talk that way?

    Which scene was your favorite?

I was howling laughing, with tears rolling down my face, swear to God, when Paul was walking down the hallway to meet Vince for their first real date! I couldn't breathe. In fact, throughout this book, I had that problem a lot. Paul and Sandy both have such sharp, sarcastic, sassy wit. Loved it!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

From dental blocks to killer hippo shit to bastard mayors, this movie has it all! Totally unforgettable!

    Any additional comments?

Did I say how hilarious I thought this story was? Totally! Now leave me alone so I can check out other books by this author and narrator!

He's everything I've never wanted—too young, too weird, too wild. I wasn't impressed that I had to get my weekly massage from a guy with a toe ring. But when I discovered David Cooke's skills as a masseur were literally orgasmic, I couldn't stop thinking about him and his amazing hands, day and night. Especially at night. He's full of surprises. And despite my bad behavior, David's just as eager to explore this chemistry between us. Turns out, there's a lot more to him than hemp pants and tattoos.

Would you consider the audio edition of Men of Smithfield: Seth and David to be better than the print version?

I haven't read it in print.

What other book might you compare Men of Smithfield: Seth and David to and why?

I quite like all of the books in this series. Well, all of them that I've read so far, anyway.

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Yeah, most audio books are that way. I personally enjoy hearing the different voices and inflections that go along with an audio book, instead of trying to imagine it myself while reading.

If you could take any character from Men of Smithfield: Seth and David out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I think Seth would be a fun dinner date. Especially if he gave me a massage afterwards lol

    Any additional comments?

I really did enjoy this book, especially the signature scene, where they initially meet, and the famous massage takes place. I totally laughed my way thru that scene!

The man was more than Leslie could handle! She'd expected a lot of publicity for Dr. Peter Havistock - the hunk had survived a plane crash when he was a kid, spent nearly 14 years living with a stone-age tribe in the jungles of Papua New Guinea, and returned to civilization to write a best-selling book about it. But his tour of colleges was getting wild. Then he announced on Harry King Live that he was a virgin! And that he was looking for a wife! And that he'd like to marry HER! Something had to give.

I forced myself to listen to the entire story, and it WAS a good story, but the reader was just horrible. She slurred and whistled all through the book...I think she had poor-fitting dentures. What were you all thinking, letting this Grandma-type narrate a supposedly erotic romance story??? Can I demand a refund?
