I would certainly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking to build their personal brand. Some great how-to steps in here.
I liked having a lot of detailed steps to building a platform.
I wasn't thrilled about the narration - the author doing it himself. I understand why he did, though. In a book all about building your own brand and putting yourself out in the world, he kind of had to narrate it himself or risk inauthenticity. (is that a word?)
Yes, though I didn't.
Tactical. Inspiring. Insightful.
So strategic in its approach. An absolute how-to that makes it obvious that even the smallest company can go out and create epic content.
Case studies were probably my favorite aspect of the book.
I did want to, even though I wasn't able to. I did immediately restart it after it was done and started going through it again. That speaks highly about how much great information is in there.
This book is packed with amazingly useful, tactical steps to becoming a Content Marketing Superstar. I bought this Kindle version after listening to the audio version (which I'm listening to again, by the way). Every chapter had my brain cranking out ideas of how I could implement what Joe was teaching me. So inspiring!
What little of it I could get through was good in terms of content but I could not listen because of the narrator. I really wish Ms. Brown had read it herself. I powered through about an hour and a half of it.
The best comparison I can make is a female version of Eugene Levy's character in A Mighty Wind. But maybe it's just me. Listen to the sample. If it doesn't bother you then get the book. The content is good.
