Louise Penny offers incredible depth to all of her characters, and each book in the Gamache series probes into the characters of Three Pines more and more. Penny's latest book offers a mystery that leaves you guessing until the end when the truth is finally revealed. Incredible writing AND an incredible plot? Awesome.
I have been listening to British mysteries downloaded from Audible for a while now, but had not yet listened to any Agatha Christie... I love it! This mystery is great... What I love about this and other Christie novels (at least with Hercule Poirot) is that that all the details are presented early, and Poirot puts them together in his sassy little way. Robin Baily does a great job narrating and performing all the voices. I do prefer David Suchet's interpretation of Poirot (Murder on the Orient Express), but Baily's is certainly fine. The best part, which doesn't relate to the mystery itself, is when he's performing the rapid dialogue of 4 characters during a Ma Jong game. Fantastic!
