I have no idea why people are complaining about the narration. It's high quality and each character sounds unique. If you want a monotone boring narrator like the people below, then I guess this isn't for you. The narration in this book is very comparable to the great job Stephen Fry did in the first book.
The book itself is pretty good and makes me want to continue the series. I love the world, or should I say "universe" created by Douglas Adams in this series. It's refreshing and exciting.
This was not only the first Stephen King book that I've listened to, but also the first of his that I've read. If this book is any indication of his writing style when it comes to character development, action, and unique story lines - then I can tell you right now this will NOT be my last.
Under the Dome is an adventure of not just one character, not just two, but many characters. I feel like I was there during "Dome Day". You'd think it would be hard to follow so many characters, but the combination of Mr. King's writing and the superb Narrator's voices - it's quiet easy to recognize who is speaking even when the text itself does not say so right away.
I still can't believe this was just one credit. Worth every single minute. I highly recommend Under the Dome.
Listened to the book, then watched the film. The film was, in comparison, no where near as good as the book. So if you've only watched the film and think it would be pointless to get this - you're wrong!
Not only is this book very good, but the reading by Ethan Hawke is absolutely superb. One of the best on the site.
