If you've listened to any of the books in this series, you'll know what to expect...a good mystery, complete with humor, strong female characters and a little bit of sex thrown in for good measure. If you haven't listened to the series and want a fun, easy book, start with the first in the series: Sex, Murder and a Double Latte. Although they're all stand alone books on their own, I always like to start at the beginning of a series. The narrator has a habit of lowering her voice an octave or two at the end of sentences, which was a bit disconcerting, but I would recommend the books to anyone in the mood for a fun, light book.

This was a fun and entertaining book. A good listen about making ends meet with a believable story line. The main character is a shopaholic and soon realizes the consequences. Her marriage seems to be faltering and she thinks her husband is having an affair. There was a bit of a mystery, romance and a lot of humor. The author also wrote the Bubbles Yablonsky series and several YA books. Recommend the book to anyone looking for a delightful, fun read.

This is the first in the Psychic Eye series and the author did a good job of introducing a fun, interesting protagonist. Abby Cooper is a relatable character...she could be you or me with the exception of one little detail - she's psychic. The author used one phrase ("in my mind's eye") a number of times...so much it was a bit irritating, but other than that, it was definitely a light, fun listen but a great start to the series.

I like the Women's Murder Club series and have listened to all of them, however this is not one of his best. It's good, but not great and from James Patterson, I somehow expect great. As always, Patterson and Paetro incorporate several story lines in the book...there are a few loose ends at the conclusion of the book, but they didn't annoy me as much as they annoyed some reviewers. Instead, I look to the 7th in the series to follow up on those cliffhangers.

I wish I had read the reviews (or at least read this was a Harlequin book) before purchasing, but unfortunately, I did neither and bought the book, hoping for a light, fun listen. I lasted about an hour and a half, mainly out of a vain hope that it would get better. The majority of the 90 minutes was spent detailing an attraction between two characters; over and over and over and over. Mental note to self: next time you purchase a book, read the reviews first.
