Definitely... This narrator make ANY book better than the printed version.
The very best writer paired with the very best narrator .. there is no way not to love this book.
He always does... But he outdid himself with this book...
The story of the hedge hogs.. oh yeah.. hedge fund managers.. trying to take down and break an insurance company... so they could make a profit on their huge stock bet.
It'll definitely gives you a different perspective ... You'll remember that the banker hogs and wall street thugs stole .. probably 10 times as much money... than all the poor have been given with welfare and food stamps ..And then when you hear the the Tea Partyers angry that the no-good, lazy, poor people got some help.. while they totally ignore and never saying a word about the trillions stolen by the banker and wall street gluttons....you'll realize the Tea Party is being led by their own enemy.. to their own destruction.
The real truth ... not on TV.
The very best political writer + a very good narrator... I didn't know what the Tea Party was. I didn't know what Obama care was ...not really...
This book gave me some clues as to what those things are....
I've been through about 12 or so books on politics...I haven't been reading commentators ... I've been reading great authors.... I've tried to read both sides... Gosh is sad Republicans .and people in government have no defense for their horrible behaviors ( murder and robbery).....Geitner tried, and failed with his book.. Anyway, Griftopea finally has driven home all I need to know and in a way I'll remember... Still, I'll probably listen to this one many times... That says a lot for the book ..because I never listen to books more than once...
Yes, he's the best of the best political writers.
No.. The narrator was very good.
I don't think the majority of the population know what was done and what is being done in America.. The only have the time and energy to watch TV.... Who knows how long it'll be that we'll be allowed to read books like this.. Before long Amazon will dictate what is allowed to be published and how it is marketed...and so not only will the media and the internet be censored...so will books...
I really liked the narrator. I and I really liked the ending of the book..
Maybe...., because the ending of the book was great.. and she has a way of building the story that's good. But I got so tired of all the kissing, kissing, kissing the characters did.. I got kind of nauseous with all that kissing. Ugh. If I'm going to read stuff like that ...it's got to be better than that.
I don't know...don't think I've heard her before. She very good.
Yes, even though it's not the Grisham's greatest, it was still good. Anything he writes, I'd read.
When the witness was caught telling a lie... and you thought is was all over...
Great voice... read the book well... I felt like I was listening to a lawyer tell a story.
Who would leave $24 million to the maid.
What we've become
The whole book was memorable.
Clear and concise, making every sentence have an impact.
Why the American Empire is Falling
After you read this, you'll wonder why TV, newspapers, the internet..is filling our heads with such garbage and leaving out the truth .. Please listen to this book.
Yes, I'd hope he be as real as he was in "The Assault on Reason".
Al Gore, is Al Gore. A magnificient writer and narrator.
I'm so disappointed in Al Gore.... He's stopped being for the people... I guess having the presidential election STOLEN by an unqualified, lesser man, was just too much. At least he wrote a fantastic book, "The Assault on Reason" before he quit. I keep hoping he'll join someone like Ralph Nader and come back and save us all from the horrible mess we're in ... with our freedom, privacy, human rights, health and our security being stollen from us by telecommunication-cell phone-smart meter nuts, Monsanto, Bankers and Wall Street.. "The Future" makes me think Al Gore has decided to join the monsters listed above.
I would, with reservation.
This writer left me with the feeling he is very much on the side of the elite wealthy...I was glad it had so much information about Obama care....... but this writer lost credibility with me and I don't know what to believe and what not to believe.
Probably not.. I already knew most of it... and I have so many books to listen to that I haven't heard.
The details about the wound care...and the history....and bringing those characters to life that I've read about in all the biology courses I've taken. I just loved that.
He made every word enjoyable.
The struggle that people had to go through just to get basic good care instituted.
You'll be surprised how much you like this book.
The precision of the narrator...exactness of the written word...it just hits home. I've done plenty of research over the years about this subject. Have you ever taken a course on a subject you thought you knew something about ...only to find out you had just scratched the surface on your own and only thought you knew about it...... Well, that's the difference between researching on your own and listening to this fantastic book.
Third world nations being a victimized.
Hawaii fighting back
YES...but couldn't because I kept repeating what I'd listened to because it was so beautifully written. In fact...I still haven't finished it.. I want to remember every word.
I beg the world, listen to this book.
I love this book. The health effects of RF EMF wireless transmitters should be known by everyone. It is proven that the technology used in cell phones and smart meters alters glucose functions in living cells and probably can affect protein folding as well as DNA replication. RF Electromagnetic fields alters the electric activity of the cell in neurons. Lawyers and politicians and engineers should not be making the decisions about cell phones nor should they be allowed to force smart meters on the American people. The vast majority of people don’t know about the effects of cell phones and smart meters and they need to be informed. The book doesn't go into a lot of electrobiology nor does it mention smart meters. But it gives plenty of great information. This book is beautifully written, very informative and you don’t need to be biology major to enjoy it. And this is one case where the author is a masterful reader. Again, I love this book. I can't say enough about it.
