Here is how to read this book. Start with the premise that that author is a sociopathic pacifist that makes Neville Chamberlain look like a war monger.....but remember, the man can write!
All one must do is the following:
(paraphrasing his favorite terrorist)
1. When he concludes an action is "wrong"....substitute the word "right"
2. When he concludes "innocent civilian casualties"....substitute "terrorists hiding behind women and children"
Allowing for these "minor" misconceptions in his conclusions, this book has given me hope that our leaders are actually doing some constructive work in the war against terror in our country.
Talk about reverse credibility!....ok I expected the rants against the Bush administration....but the way he goes after Obama has made me feel more secure about the American presidency than I have in years!
So Jeremy Scahill can keep my 11 bucks.....and Tom W. did a great narration.
Every conservitive in America should read this book (according to the above rules)
It will restore hope in our survival as a nation.
All of moore's books are worth reading
A bit of a departure for chris....but listen it through...its charming
I was going to say that this book must have been written by a middle school student that had the money to get it published/audioed.....but that would be an insult to middle school students everywhere...so bad...
It would have been a fine performance if I wanted to read Danielle Steel
The Genre...it is not SF, it is a romance novel
I read the authors first book in this series, it was not bad, and I bought the follow-up based on the first review in this list. This review is a plant, designed to suggest a similarity to a book written by Weber, Flint or Ringo.
What it is in truth, is a Chick Flick.
Woman love, peolpe hatred (especially men), LAME descriptions of future tech......and of all the wierd things...religious overtones.
You have been warned :)
It's a classic, and it's writtten in old english, and yes, you have to concentrate a bit; but as with the Patrick O'brian series, there is no better way to read this book than on voice.
So if you consider "Survivor" to be great TV...dont bother, but if you love Historical Fiction, and have more than a 40 minute attention span, this one should not be missed.
