Was able to see that times may change but situations dont, we will always have a good economy then bad economy no matter the era and same for presidents.
Didnt feel like a lecture, felt like a scolar teaching you all his wisdom.
So many small details you would miss if you read it where some one reading it to you you can comprehend those details all that much better
No this is a book you listen to one or two presidents in one sitting then take a break and come back. Gives you great breaking points.
I have listened to a lot of books on here but I would defintly say out of my top ten; this book would be between 6-10. No knock against this book its just hard to compete against the Night Angel trilogy, Sherlock Holmes, and Enders Game.
The thing I loved about this story is that they make you think even more about the ethics of winning at all cost. The book also brings up major issues about children growing up in the very lower class. I know this book may take some liberties in the facts but it definitely make you wonder what the kids really go through.
The scene that I really enjoyed in this books is the scenes of Bean and his best friend in the book, it really shows a human side to this baby genius. The twist is this story will make you want to do a marathon session.
Enders Shadow: Beans Journey
I honestly was worried about getting this book and wasting a credit on a rehashed Enders Game, but I have never been so glad to be wrong in my life. I loved watching all these events through the eyes of those who follow Ender through hell and back.
The thing that made this books so entertaining and enjoyable is the way that Scott builds up the character of Ender, and his family so naturally you disregard the likelihood of a 10 year old being a Rommel. I went into this book with shakey expectations since I saw the movie first, I could have not been more wrong. This books really fleshes out his brother and sisters story making them characters to care about. I love how they introduce Bean and make him into a fully fleshed out character without having to devote too much words to him. This book deserves the title that some give it as the best Sci-Fi book/Series ever. From this book I would highly recommend listening to "Enders Shadow".
This book reminds me of Halo Reach which since this came out like 20 years prior I'm guessing this is a huge influence on the writers of the Halo story.
First time listening to these narrators, they did a good job nothing really stands out about there performance out but they definitely did not take away from the mood of the story because of bad reading.
So many moments but one in particular which I refuse to write the moment because I would spoil the book and this book is meant to shock you and make you think of ethics of society as a hole and you should just read it for your self.
For those who love a good political book, the previous books had a good balance of action and politics. In this book the first 10 hours took me way to long because i could not focus on the story because it went flat early.
Yes because I have enjoyed 3 out of 4 books in the series so i am ready for book 5.
The pace was good although the voices for some characters changed and bugged me while listening.
Anything with Cersei Lannister.
In my opinion they stick with charactrers way too long before going to the next POV. Now if you have finished 1-3 then def get this book because there are still 3 books in the song of fire and ice after this one.
Yes I would, the story never went flat in any part the climax was amazing and the ending made me want another trilogy.
Darth bane because you see how he evolved from a muscular grunt to a calculating sith.
Oh yea one of the reasons I cant read books is I can never stay focused but with davis I could close my eyes and see the star wars movie I wanna see instead of a pile of heap made by geoge lucas
Haha with disney in charge it would be dont get your hopes up nerds we are making a jar jar spin off
Honestly near the top, i still rank the Thrawn series above this but its like saying Godfather 2 is not as good as the first. I got this book on a random hunch and very glad i stumbled upon my first and definetly not last star wars book.
The climax at the academy, wish i could say more but listen for yourself
Bane for sure
No just kept me on the edge of my mental seat.
So many plot twist, when you think the New Republic is gonna catch a break... then you are left mouth open. I am not gonna spoil anything but the new spieces in this book is fantastic
Probally Luke in this book
Yes listened to the whole thrawn series and loved every book
its like a glass of fine wine, you wanna take it in slowly till your hammered wanting more wine at the end of the bottle( the book)
What a ending!!!!
Was Luke or Card in first two books but this book def Han Solo
Carried a drive in his voice, you connected not only with the character but the voice speaking as the character
If i didnt have to work and socialize I would def do it
