After 10 years of cleaning up the dirt on Atlanta's streets, Callahan Garrity is trading in her badge for a broom and a staff of house cleaners. But, though the uniform is a little different, Callahan soon finds herself right back in the middle of a mystery when a client's pretty, pious 19-year-old nanny is gone...along with the jewelry, silver, and a few rather sensitive real estate documents. Before she knows it, the meticulous Callahan is up to her elbows in a case involving illicit love triangles, crooked business deals, long-distance scams, and a dead body.

Would you try another book from Mary Kay Andrews and/or Hillary Huber?

    No!

What could Mary Kay Andrews have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Author should NOT have chosen to have one of her characters use "the N-word." It was offensive and not necessary to the storyline.

    Any additional comments?

Paula Dean got in trouble for using "the N-word." Why not this author? Audible should remove this book from their selection.

Now a major motion picture directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, High Fidelity) and starring Judi Dench (Skyfall, Notes on a Scandal) and Steve Coogan (The Trip, Hamlet 2): the heartbreaking true story of an Irishwoman and the secret she kept for 50 years. When she became pregnant as a teenager in Ireland in 1952, Philomena Lee was sent to a convent to be looked after as a "fallen woman". Then the nuns took her baby from her and sold him, like thousands of others, to America for adoption. Fifty years later, Philomena decided to find him.

    What disappointed you about Philomena?

The story of the son living in the orphanage and his adoption was interesting.....up until his sexual awaking. Then, there was way too much detail about the son's homosexual adventures. Descriptions went on and on and on.....like a "how-to" manual. :-( That ruined a potentially good story.

Dixie Cash novels score critical accolades while slaying readers with witty mysteries starring the Domestic Equalizers, aka Debbie Sue Overstreet and her best friend, Edwina. In this down-home whodunit, the gals from Salt Lick, Texas, wrangle with a mystery involving a bull-riding "champeen" and an Internet stalker.

I live in a small town in the South, and know some oddballs like these characters! The book reminded me somewhat of the TV series "Designing Women"---quirky characeters and crazy predicaments. I laughed until tears ran down my face. 90-year-old Maudine's party at the beauty salon was a hoot! I enjoyed the book very much, and will buy others by this author.

The NIV Audio Bible is more than a Bible you listen to. It's an experience that helps you enter into God's Word, so that God's Word can enter into you.

First mistake...This is NOT "Complete Bible" as the icon says. It's the Book of Numbers. Next mistake is that it cuts off with Chapter 24. There are 36 Chapters in the Book of Numbers. There may be other mistakes which I didn't catch. Audible needs to correct this stuff.
