Would you consider the audio edition of Happy Ever After to be better than the print version?

Definitely! The voices in your head just can't compare to what Angela Dawe comes up with.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Malcolm because he is so unapologetic for being from the social class he is from. He realizes that it is important but not all encompassing when he falls for a woman with a lot of financial power. It's nice to see a character who isn't afraid to admit he didn't come from a lot of money.

Have you listened to any of Angela Dawe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've only heard her on this series, but I think she has gotten better as these books have been published.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Money is no problem.

The Dogs discover that gamblers are bringing the counterfeit money from Port Caynn. In Port Caynn, Beka delves deep into the gambling world, where she meets a charming banking clerk named Dale Rowan. Beka thinks she may be falling for Rowan, but she won't let anything - or anyone - jeopardize her mission. As she heads north to an abandoned silver mine, it won't be enough for Beka be her usual terrier self. She'll have to learn from Achoo to sniff out the criminals, to be a Bloodhound.

As the second book in this series, we get to see Beka more as she is as a person and as she is without so many people watching over her. There are trials and tribulations sure, but she manages quite well without much help from others. This is also one of the first times we see Beka in a romantic way and being a typical teenage girl. It's really amusing to see her navigate romance while in the middle of a tricky hunt. As per usual with Tamora Pierce, we see Beka develop more into a strong, confident woman and beat the bad guys at their own game.

Laurel McBane has always relied on her friends for support, especially when her dream of attending culinary school was almost ruined by her parents’ financial problems. If you could sum up Savor the Moment in three words, what would they be?

    Fun, flirty, sassy

What was one of the most memorable moments of Savor the Moment?

Seeing two people who have been friends a long time finally realize that they were meant to be together. The quote that once you find that person, you'll realize why it never worked out with anyone else...that is this book to a T.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Laurel jumps out of the car to go sleep with Del on the 4th of July. It's just so memorable.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It's always right in front of you.

Where does Bed of Roses rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was actually one of my first audiobooks and it still ranks high among the books I've listened to so far.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the commraderie among the women in the story and how their social group formed. In each story we learn a little more about them and how they came to be where they are. I think that the history we share with our closest friends shapes who we are and that comes out in this story.

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

She does really great voices and it's like watching a movie with her performances.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book is full of moments that made me laugh, cry, and hit things in frustration. Can't ask for more than that.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! I loved it! Most of my girlfriends are engaged or in serious relationships and a love story about close friends, a wedding business, and love? What more could we want?!

Who was your favorite character and why?

As much as I love Mackenzie, Laurel is definitely my favorite character. In terms of personality she is most like me.

Have you listened to any of Emily Durante’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not heard any other Emily Durante performances.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES! I could not get enough of it. I listened to it in the car so I didn't get to listen to it all in one sitting, but I would have loved to!

Collected here for the first time are all of the tales from the land of Tortall, featuring both previously unknown characters as well as old friends. Filling some gaps of time and interest, these stories, some of which have been published before, will lead Tammy's fans, and new readers into one of the most intricately constructed worlds of modern fantasy.

Let me start by saying I love Tamora Pierce's writings and I will continue to love them forever.

I didn't realize how much feminism was present in her writings until this anthology. Part of this might be that I'm taking a women, sport, and culture class and quite a few stories in this anthology could be included in our class materials. But really, while listening to this book, just listen. There are definite styles of feminism in these stories ranging from liberal feminism to marxist feminism and just about everything in between.

I loved seeing some of my favorite characters come back up- Numair, Kitten, Aly and Nawat. It was great to meet new characters as well and see the effects of some stories from previous books. I hope she does more anthologies like this in the future.

    Overall, Wonderful. I loved it.

Once a city of enormous wealth and culture, Prague was home to emperors, alchemists, astronomers, and, as it’s whispered, hell portals. When music student Sarah Weston lands a summer job at Prague Castle cataloging Beethoven’s manuscripts, she has no idea how dangerous her life is about to become. Prague is a threshold, Sarah is warned, and it is steeped in blood. Soon after Sarah arrives, strange things begin to happen. She learns that her mentor, who was working at the castle, may not have committed suicide after all. Could his cryptic notes be warnings?

I was reading this book in paperback and listening to the audio version when my eyes got tired at night. What a treat it was to switch over to the audio version! We all do voices in our head, but having them really come alive in the audio version was fantastic!
The book was well narrated and the story includes everything a reader would want, and somethings you didn't know you wanted. I'm not a huge classical music buff, but I really enjoyed learning a little more about Beethoven during this book. Even though this is fictitious, I could totally see this happening. The story is full of information, intrigue, sex, drama, and murder. What more could you want?!
I really hope that the author continues to write books because I loved the story. It was kind of like the Davinci Code, but much more fun to read and listen to.

Kel has finally achieved her lifelong dream of being a knight. But it's not turning out as she imagined at all. She is torn between a duty she has sworn to uphold and a quest that she feels could turn the tide of war. Unrelentingly realistic in its depiction of the horrors of war, Pierce provides exquisite details of the weaponry, topography, and culture of her world, and her control of a voluminous cast of characters is masterful.

What made the experience of listening to Lady Knight the most enjoyable?

I love this story. Having read it in paperback many times and now hearing it read to me, it's a wonderful story full of everything good. It has action, drama, chivalry, and romance. I don't think anyone could not enjoy this story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lady Knight?

I think a lot shows about the Keladry when her people are taken and how she handles the situation. We spend a lot of the book waiting for her to finally go on her quest.

What about Bernadette Dunne’s performance did you like?

Her voices are really good. She is exciting to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Kel meets Toby. At 18 caring for another person, not just because it's a duty but because you want things to be better for that person, is alot of what knighthood is about.

Delta Force—the US Army’s most elite top-secret strike force. They dominate the modern battlefield, but you won’t hear about their heroics on CNN. No headlines can reveal their top-secret missions, and no book has ever taken readers inside—until now. What disappointed you about Inside Delta Force?

The narration put me to sleep.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Parts of the story seemed overly detailed and other parts under detailed.

What didn’t you like about Robertson Dean’s performance?

    His voice is so monotonous.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story itself was interesting and to a military history buff would be both enlightening and enjoyable.
