If you think you know George Washington, think again. This is the amazing true story of a real-life superhero who wore no cape and possessed no special powers—yet changed the world forever. It's a story about a man whose life reads as if it were torn from the pages of an action novel: Bullet holes through his clothing. Horses shot out from under him. Unimaginable hardship. Disease. Heroism. Spies and double-agents. And, of course, the unmistakable hand of Divine Providence that guided it all.

Dell says: "My hero has been brought back. Thanks Glenn."

    Story
What made the experience of listening to Being George Washington the most enjoyable?

How George Washington was able to cope with all the challenges of his time and survived.

What did you like best about this story?

George Washington was a natural born leader.

What does Ron McLarty bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hearing the book keeps you alert to all the trials in his life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the British spy for Benidict Arnold was captured, The majority did not want him to be hung as he was a British officer, but George Washington said he was no different then any other spy. A spy is hung for his action until dead and not shot as a Military man.

    Any additional comments?

I listened to THE LIFE OF GEORGE WASHINGTON and BEING GEORGE WASHINGTON. Both books describe George Washington as a Leader, Blessed by God and a President we should emulate now and in the future. Many times on the battle field he should have been shot and killed, He survived 4 major illnesses. The majority of his close relatives died before the age of 50. George Washington lived to his mid 60's

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I shared on Facebook that this book will provide the details on how our Founding Fathers worked on the US Constitution as we see it today.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Adams vs. Jefferson?

The 2nd and 3rd Presidents provided the foundation for the USA, as members of the Federalist Party vs the Republican Party respectively.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both Presidents died on the same day, within 5 hours of each other. They both believed in God and His Son Jesus Christ.

On May 13, 1945, 24 American servicemen and WACs boarded a transport plane for a sightseeing trip over “Shangri-La,” a beautiful and mysterious valley deep within the jungle-covered mountains of Dutch New Guinea. Unlike the peaceful Tibetan monks of James Hilton’s best-selling novel Lost Horizon, this Shangri-La was home to spear-carrying tribesmen, warriors rumored to be cannibals. But the pleasure tour became an unforgettable battle for survival when the plane crashed. Miraculously, three passengers pulled through.

    Janice says: "Facinating history"
"This is Truly a PATRIOTIC adventure."

    Story
What made the experience of listening to Lost in Shangri-La the most enjoyable?

As this was True story that brought me back in time during WWII. Living in the Philippines and hearing all the comments about this country today.

What did you like best about this story?

How the three survivers were able to make it out of the plane crash and travel miles in the jungle with their severe injuries. They did not give up.

Have you listened to any of Mitchell Zuckoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not had the time or chance to listen to Mitchell Zuckoffs other performances. I will now look forward to his work.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The courage that the 3 survivers displayed and how they would not give up. They supported each other until they were located.

    Any additional comments?

I would like to see a film with this story line. How history is brought to life in all the events that took place over the past 70 years.
