"Loved this book."
Just finished listening to it 2 days ago and loved it. I was a bit disappointed he left out something I wanted to catch the camps reaction through instead skipping the reaction and and starting right on the argument. And still don't like the narrator, but could be worse, they could have used Sam Tsoutsouvas still can't stand to even listen to his narration. And I think this book was much better than the first of the series. I was getting worried near the end that he just gave up advancing Percy and it was just going to be about the other character surprising skills.
I can't wait for the next book. I hope this time we get Annabeth's point of view. It is looking like she might be the seventh but it is hard to tell, I hope so. It also seems like Gaea may use her to blackmail Percy or something like that.
"Loved it!!"
Have been waiting for this audiobook for a few weeks. I love the story, and the narrator does a good job with the voices.
I heard Khristine Hvam actually sat down with Michelle Sagara to plan the characters voices out with the books, and she does a great job. Another narrator that can voice act all the characters so you know who is saying what.
The story is once again very good. One thing I like about this series is you never know what the next book is actually going to be about, though she gives you hints, I thought it would be about the strangers and that egg from what small plots she didn't finish in the last book, and I was somewhat right, but of course that is a small part of the book.
I can't wait till the next one is out, I hope Audible releases it the day the actual book is released.
"Can anyone say "GET A DIFFERENT NARRATOR?!!!""
I loved this series when I first listened toe it on tape. Anyone who hasn't heard the books narrated by Nick Sullivan I suggest listening to his narration, he does a great job while this guy puts me to sleep. He should stick with bedtime stories.
The book is a good ending to the series, so it kind of makes up for it, but still just can't get past the narration
"Could be better, but not to bad."
First off I absolutely hate the narrator, wish they had used the same one as the Percy Jackson books.
Second I don't like where the book is going with the series. There have been enough stories with the child of Zeus as the hero, that was why I liked the Percy Jackson series. I really, really hope the next book is mostly about Percy (as well as back to his point of view) and the heroes from the other camp. I think using him and Jason as the two leaders rather than just Jason as the leader would pull some readers that might be lost otherwise.
I do like the multiple point of view change, and hope that eventually we get Annabeth's point of view. The series is still young, but so far I am not impressed compared to the Percy Jackson series.
