Exciting, action... packed.
I love the world Salvatore has created. He writes great stories - if you love one, you'll love pretty much all of them.
I've read the book too, and wouldn't say it's any better performed :-)
Yes. I'm fairly young, and didn't know a lot about the 1950's and 60's or the Civil Rights movement before listening to this book. What I did know revolved around MLK, Rosa Parks, etc - mainstream history. This book really helped me gain an understanding of the history, actions, and motivations of Malcolm X. I empathize a lot more with him and his place in history. Great book.
Not really applicable.
Spike Lee already did it :-)
I bought this book because it was the third in the series, and I wanted to know how it ends. I thought the first book was the strongest, and it went downhill a bit from there. It's a decent story, and fairly well written, though far short of amazing.
I think the characters could be much better developed, and the books probably should have been longer to allow for more depth.
A decent story though.
Kenji. He develops a bit and changes over the series.
I didn't really like having two narrators. It sometimes felt choppy.
No. The story was wrapped up fairly well.
I listened to all three books in the series and liked them, but didn't love them. They're good stories, but fairly shallow compared to what I'm used to.
The cultural aspects are very interesting. The author did a good job of explaining cultural concepts that people don't often consider today.
Writing from the first-person perspective is difficult, and I think the story seemed shallow at points.
Can't think of anyone.
Perhaps. The stars should be Japanese though.
I haven't read the print version, but the audio edition is good. It's a good story for commuting - you can check in and out of it without losing a lot.
Easy to follow, not too involved, but still entertaining.
Graham is a great reader and conveys emotion and character really well throughout the book.
It's a great one-time listen. The story is pretty good, the reading is great.
I like Charles. He's a good tough-guy character.
He really nails the characters, and conveys a lot of emotion and mood with his voice. He's one of the better readers I've followed.
