After nine years in production, it's the highly rumored comedy album from Saturday Night Live's Norm MacDonald. Featuring Will Ferrell, Tim Meadows, Molly Shannon, Artie Lange, and more.

Flavius says: "Great For Fans, Others Strongly Cautioned"

    Overall

I find Norm MacDonald's comedy to be brilliant.
Listening to this cd had me crying with laughter.
"A Wonderful Afternoon Gone Awry" w/ Will Farrel
was exceptional and a groundbreaking piece.

The album may be a bit controversial but I sure enjoyed it!

Timely, urgent, and powerfully elucidating, this important volume of previously unpublished interviews conducted by award-winning radio journalist David Barsamian features Noam Chomsky discussing America's policies in an increasingly unstable world. With his famous insight, lucidity, and redoubtable grasp of history, Chomsky offers his views on the invasion and occupation of Iraq, the doctrine of "preemptive" strikes against so-called rogue states, and the prospects of the second Bush administration...

Noam drones on in his continuing saga of "Amerika; The Real Enemy."

His moaning is encouraged by David Barsamian, recipient of the ACLU's Upton Sinclair Award.

  • 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (And Al Franken is #37)

Bernard Goldberg takes dead aim at the America Bashers (the cultural elites who look down their snobby noses at "ordinary" Americans and detest so much of what this country is about); the Hollywood Blowhards (incredibly ditzy celebrities who think they're smart just because they're famous); the TV Schlockmeisters (including the one whose show has been compared to a churning mass of maggots devouring rotten meat); the Intellectual Thugs, and many more.

Marc says: "Some good points (really), kinda partisan."
    "Great Read"
    Overall

Bernie Goldberg, in my opinion, is one of the most responsible and balanced journalists of our time. He has served his nation well.

Bernard Goldberg has an interesting list of suspects from both sides of the political spectrum.(Yes, Liberals should be delighted with some of his picks).

    Witty and thoughtful.

Bill Maher first came to national attention as the host of the hit Comedy Central and ABC-TV program Politically Incorrect, where he offered a combustible mixture of irreverence and acerbic humor that helped him to garner a loyal following, as well as a reputation for being a hilarious provocateur.

Scott says: "Funny and true but also Annoying"
    "I Like Maher"
    Overall

The material that hit the Left (approx. 1-6 ratio) was hilarious!

Most of the material that bashed the Right (esp. Christians), p***ed me off!

Either I have veered more towards the Righr or Maher is getting only less politically correct than Alec Baldwin.

I still got my laughs for the buck and I still like Bill.

Two centuries ago, without congressional or public debate, a president who is thought of today as peaceable, Thomas Jefferson, launched America's first war on foreign soil, a war against terror. The enemy was Muslim; the war was waged unconventionally, with commandos, native troops, and encrypted intelligence, and launched from foreign bases.

Jefferson, long thought of, as a "pacifistic" president declared America's first war on foreign soil in response to "Islamic Jihad".

European nations had given in to buying off "peace" with the Barbary Coast states. Many of their citizens being subjugated to slavery and all of the attendant horrors. The Barbary Coast states (North African
states of Morocco, Tripolitania, Tunisia,Algeria) declared Islamic Jihad on America because Jefferson refused to pay the extortion fee.

This is an interesting bit of American/World History. The correlation with today's current events will not be missed by the listener. The narrator is excellent.

Dave's take on Japan, the Japanese, the food, flying, feeling tall,

This is one of Dave's funniest.

If one George Carlin audio is funny, then two are funnier, and three must be funniest, right? That's our thinking behind this new collection. It's a HighBridge library of laugh-out-loud, award-winning recordings featuring George himself performing many of his best bits.

    Francis says: "Awesome"
"George Carlin is a National Icon"
    Overall

George Carlin is one of the Comedy Greats. His curmudgeonly, ascerbic humor is honest. Being a Conservative Christian he often offends me, and hopefully he will offend you too, whatever your beliefs. This is a wonderful collection of Carlin's material.
I also recommend "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops" (ouch), Carlin's latest. George Carlin is a funny man.

For anyone interested in foreign affairs, this book will catalyze debate, and not only for Mr. Huntington's concluding scenario for World War III. He sees how this could happen if the U.S. mishandles an increasingly xenophobic and truculent China. Chinese assertiveness, Huntington argues, rises out of its felt grievances against a relatively weakening West. After China, the gravest challenge to the West is resurgent Islamic identity.

Award-winning author Stephen Greenblatt is one of the most influential literary thinkers in the world. An acclaimed interpreter of Shakespeare's works, his ideas have changed the way countless people approach the classics. Now Greenblatt's uniquely brilliant voice delivers a magnificent biography of the Bard himself.

What a disappointment! Here i was, hoping to learn something. It soon became clear, this was a pc professor (of the Howard Zinn strain), pushing his pc political agenda.
I feel terible that I helped put $$$ in this man's pocket.....
Do yourself a favor.....skip this OR do a "Google" search on the author BEFORE purchasing. I wish I had.
