"Fun with Dexter"
Double Dexter is an enjoyable book to listen to and it's nice that it's read by the author. If you're coming from the show as I did, some major characters' "situations" are quite different. This threw me off a bit but I got used to it. The story is pretty good but not great. The characters are really what makes the book. The ending could have used more detail (I have to be vague to avoid spoilers). All-in-all I look forward to listening to more Dexter books.
"Mesmerizing"
The slow pace of the book definitely takes some getting accustomed to, but once I did I didn't want to stop listening to it. The writing is superb, the characters are fascinating, and the story is compelling...until the end. I won't spoil anything but the ending was a bit flat and is really the only reason I didn't give this book five stars. Still it's a great book that's well narrated, and well worth your credit and your time.
"Loved it!"
The best one so far.
When Jones is first introduced.
No, but I wish he would read every book. He really helps to bring each character to life. He's great with accents.
Laughed many times. I didn't cry but I did care about the characters in the end.
38 hours long and all of it was thrilling, funny or at least interesting. Great characters throughout.
"It was ok"
None of the characters were likable. The plot twists fell flat for the most part. The ending was weak. The courtroom parts weren't good.
No.
The performance was OK. Not great, not terrible.
Killed time during my commute.
I think the author has potential but it was not realized in this novel.
