"Excellent Listen!"
Story: I loved this story. I'm a fan of romance, mystery, and some substance and this had it. I love the idea of fire jumping and all of the relationships that went into this story. It was a great read. I'm only bummed that its not part of a series.
Narrator: She was excellent! I love a female narrator when the main character is a strong female. She was easy to follow and was great at putting the emotion into the story. I will listen to something read by her anytime!
"Absolutely wonderful! Sequel is fantastic!"
I was a bit hesitant to listen to the second book, with a new narrator, but I am so glad I did! The narration was wonderful, and the story was almost better than the original! Twists and turns, romances, happy and sad. And a thrilling cliffhanger. I cannot wait for Book #3 to come out!
"Wonderfull written and read!"
I absolutely loved listening to this narrator read this book. It was wonderfully written and read. Wanda McCaddon excellently switched from character to character without over doing any of it. Her accents were perfect, her male voices believable.
Susan MacNeal wrote a wonderful story, truly making me feel like I was in London during WWII. Her descriptions were full but not flowery nor tedious. She made me feel like I was friends with Maggie and David.
I cannot wait to read more by MacNeal and would listen to anything read by McCaddon.
"Narrator made a huge difference"
Again, Hynd's LaDuca stories are great, but not for listening too. I'd much rather read and skip over the parts where he uses too much detail. And, Hill was a poor choice for a book with such a strong female lead.
"Narrator made a huge difference"
Noel Hynd's books are great and I love his Alex LaDuca stories. However, this narrator left such a sour taste in my mouth. First of all, the main character is a woman, so having a woman narrate would have been ideal. Secondly, if you are going to have a man, at least choose a man who can decently preform women's voices. Hill's female voices were horrible and all the same.
I didn't realize until listening to Hynd's book that he over details a lot of sections. While reading it, you automatically skip over parts that are redundant. Unfortunately not an option while listening. I will continue to read Hynd's LaDuca series, but will not be listening to his books anymore. Or anything read by Hill.
"Another good story."
Another good book by Truman and read well by Gigante. At times the book is long and over detailed, but I love her storylines.
"Hope its the start of a new series"
I really enjoyed the dual narrators. It helps you keep track of the two paths of the stories. I loved this book and really hope it is the beginning of a new series and these two narrators read the next books.
