Is there a science to love? In this groundbreaking audiobook, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and psychologist Rachel S. F. Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. Attachment theory forms the basis for many best-selling books on the parent/child relationship, but there has yet to be an accessible guide to what this fascinating science has to tell us about adult romantic relationships - until now.

Back in Oregon, Kelsey tries to pick up the pieces of her life and push aside her feelings for Ren. But danger lurks around the corner, forcing her to return to India where she embarks on a second quest--this time with Ren's dark, bad-boy brother Kishan, who has also fallen prey to the Tiger's Curse. Fraught with danger, spellbinding dreams, and choices of the heart, Tiger's Quest brings the trio one step closer to breaking the spell that binds them.

I began this book eagerly having enjoyed the first book. The heroines internal conflict over the two brother's was tiresome to me and the sexually demanding brother was disturbing to the point that it eclipsed the interesting story of the quest theme.
I am stopping now and not continuing the series, this was too disappointing and felt too bubble-gum to me. Listening to it I was struck by the contradictions in the character of the heroine and the sexual messages this might convey to younger female (and male) readers about the basic respect of sexual boundaries between people.
Perhaps I am reacting strongly to it, but I am disappointed and unable to continue even though I would like to hear the quest resolution, sigh.

Not my usual genre for reading, however, I thought I would check it out, very interesting and entertaining, good performance, purchased the next two in the series as well. Strangely enough the last 3.5 hours were blotted out and I was unable to listen to them on my Ipod only online.

This Victorian best seller, along with Braddon's other famous novel, Aurora Floyd, established her as the main rival of the master of the sensational novel, Wilkie Collins. A protest against the passive, insipid 19th-century heroine, Lady Audley was described by one critic of the time as "high-strung, full of passion, purpose, and movement." Her crime (the secret of the title) is shown to threaten the apparently respectable middle-class world of Victorian England.

I read this book after hearing she was a contemporary of his and wrote stronger female characters. I have to say, I enjoyed his Woman in White and especially the Moonstone so much more. About two months after listening to the Moonstone it was referenced so many times in other books and shows that I was very pleased to have read it here. This was pleasant, however not as engaging as the other author. I have to say the narrator makes a huge difference,

Amazing main character, this is a psychological novel as we get into his head and understand his life in an extremely dangerous place. Completely engaging and riveting to read and now listen to as well. Enjoy -- you won't regret it.

Of all of John Irving's books, this is the one that lends itself best to audio. In print, Owen Meany's dialogue is set in capital letters; for this production, Irving himself selected Joe Barrett to deliver Meany's difficult voice as intended. In the summer of 1953, two 11-year-old boys – best friends – are playing in a Little League baseball game in Gravesend, New Hampshire. One of the boys hits a foul ball that kills the other boy's mother. The boy who hits the ball doesn't believe in accidents; Owen Meany believes he is God's instrument. What happens to Owen after that 1953 foul ball is extraordinary and terrifying.

Danny North knew from early childhood that his family was different - and that he was different from them. While his cousins were learning how to create the things that commoners called fairies, ghosts, golems, trolls, werewolves, and other such miracles that were the heritage of the North family, Danny worried that he would never show a talent, never form an "outself"....
