Is there a science to love? In this groundbreaking audiobook, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and psychologist Rachel S. F. Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. Attachment theory forms the basis for many best-selling books on the parent/child relationship, but there has yet to be an accessible guide to what this fascinating science has to tell us about adult romantic relationships - until now.

On death row for murdering her infant son, her last breath will be taken on February 15 at 12:01 a.m. Eleven years, five months, and 27 days separate her from the last time she heard her precious daughter's voice and the final moment she'd heard anyone call her mom. It was a book that kept me engaged the entire time right to the end.

Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.

This book was different than I expected and quite good. The characters feel real and approachable, not idealized characters, dealing with real problems, there is just a little magic involved..

Sebastien Ranes’s single mom and her feckless boyfriend can’t be bothered to take care of a stuttering 12-year-old. Banished to live with his grandmother on the far side of the country, the boy can barely understand a bus schedule when he gets dumped at the Greyhound station in Stockton, California. Given $35 and a one-way ticket to Altoona, Pennsylvania, Sebastien must cross the country - alone, without a clue how to fend for himself. Filled with youthful anger and naïveté, Sebastien heads out into the "Morning in America" of Ronald Reagan’s 1980s.

What a surprising book to listen to the past week. It portrays the 1980's very well and trips on the bus well for that era. It is a smartly written pleasant book and while there are adventures there are happy times and a wonderful relationship which develops between the two main characters. I am so glad I purchased this book.

The narrator did a very nice job with the characters voices. The book reminded me of Gail Carriger's, The Parasol Protectorate Series. While it isn't Steam Punk, it has good conversation between characters and several strong female characters. Quite enjoyable to listen to; I was hoping this was a series when it ended and alas that is not the case :(
Hopefully in the future there will be further books with several of the main characters. I am glad I picked up this book to listen to it.

This book is a series of stories by various authors and as a result not a continuous story. In listening to it I realized that I dislike a book of short stories and prefer a clear book and storyline. While the concept of the book and story are interesting it was too disjointed for me to enjoy.
I purchased the first two books and will not listen to the second one. This had a lot of promise to be very interesting.

The description sounded good and interesting, the story is interesting and enjoyable, however, it is overshadowed by frequent graphic porn scenes. So many porn scenes that it is tiresome and boringly unnecessary to the story, to the point that I fast forward through them or turn off the sound, it brings nothing to the story. Normally I would enjoy the rest of the series, however, I won't waste my time and money on this one.
It was so graphic that when my husband walked in while it was playing and I was finishing up a project that I couldn't stop to forward and he was stunned at the content asking what in the world I was listening to. Yup, porn or a super steamy romance novel.

After several hours I still was not engaged in this book and bored with it. The narration was not a problem for me and I was disappointed since the earlier reviews sounded good, there just wasn't anything that grabbed me and held my attention. Thus making this a disappointing book that I stopped reading/listening to as a pointless waste of my time and moved onto the Patron Saint of Ugly, now, that was a very good book.

In 1915, Sherlock Holmes is retired and quietly engaged in the study of honeybees when a young woman literally stumbles into him on the Sussex Downs. Fifteen years old, gawky, egotistical, and recently orphaned, the young Mary Russell displays an intellect to impress even Sherlock Holmes - and match him wit for wit. Under his reluctant tutelage, this very modern 20th-century woman proves a deft protégée and a fitting partner for the Victorian detective.
