The language is beautiful and evocative of the time period.
Very compelling plot.
Breathes life into the characters.
One of my favorite audiobooks of all time.
This is actually narrated by two people. It was distracting when the same character is dramatized very differently by each of the narrators. I would have preferred if Mr. Rudnicki was permitted to narrate the whole thing. Otherwise, the story was very enjoyable.
This is what all authors should aspire to. I had no idea what I was in for. I am so impressed by everything. Scope, characters, plot, setting, history. Wow. I'm telling everybody to read or listen to this. Everybody.
Overall, enjoyable and fast paced with an ending that will stick with you and make you ponder. This is light reading (well, okay, light LISTENING): Like a action movie. Mind candy... until the end sinks its teeth into you.
I had a bit of trouble with buying into one character recovering from heart surgery who, in my experience should have done nothing other than lay there with tubes and focus on trying to stay alive rather than engaging in animated conversations, and then some. Author might have visited critical care and taken notes. However, this is a fast paced read and leads to an ending that makes you think, DUDE, did you really justify THAT?
This book clearly answered all of my questions about the Law of Attraction, how it works, how to practice and what the big deal is. The question about who Abraham is, is academic and unimportant. The ideology here is fascinating, whatever your perspective.
