What made the experience of listening to Pathfinder the most enjoyable?

I came to this book right after finishing the Ender's Game Series and the Ender's Shadow Series. I was certian finding another Series/Story with Characters as awesome as Ender and Bean would be next to impossible. However Card really pulled this one off!

If you Loved Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. Then I see no reason you would not love this.

It is in no way the same story or characters however a new story and new characters that are just as awesome.

What other book might you compare Pathfinder to and why?

I would put pathfinder in it's own class.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Wouldn't know until I read it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

certain parts make me laugh and gasp

As Stevie retreats into himself, focusing more and more on a mysterious computer game and a growing troop of imaginary friends, the Fletchers' concern turns to terror.

Would you consider the audio edition of Lost Boys to be better than the print version?

    Not sure.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Not really. I was interested the entire time however not as much as Ender's Game or other OSC stories.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No but it was nice on my way to and from work and a little at night.

Danny North knew from early childhood that his family was different - and that he was different from them. While his cousins were learning how to create the things that commoners called fairies, ghosts, golems, trolls, werewolves, and other such miracles that were the heritage of the North family, Danny worried that he would never show a talent, never form an "outself"....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I already have recommended this book to many people.

Love how OSC brought fantasy to present day life. This story was above and beyond my expectations.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Danny... Because OSC made me love him.

What does Stefan Rudnicki and Emily Janice Card bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love just closing my eyes and imagine the story playing out. It is so much more enjoyable to listen to the story then read it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time I would have.

    Any additional comments?

I started this book after reading the entire Enderverse along with Pathfinder which is by the way another great book.

I would have to place the following books as equally best books ever:

    Ender's Game
    Ender's Shadow
    Pathfinder
    Lost Gate

In the aftermath of his terrible war, Ender Wiggin disappeared, and a powerful voice arose: the Speaker for the Dead, who told the true story of the Bugger War. Now, long years later, a second alien race has been discovered by Portuguese colonists on the planet Lusitania. But again the aliens' ways are strange and frightening...again, humans die. And it is only the Speaker for the Dead, who is also Ender Wiggin the Xenocide, who has the courage to confront the mystery...and the truth.

What did you love best about Speaker for the Dead?

Great story that constantly kept me wanting more. I could not quit listening to it!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Speaker for the Dead?

It would give away secrets ;)

Which character – as performed by David Birney and Stefan Rudnicki – was your favorite?

    Ender of course!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    every moment.

    Any additional comments?

This book is the second book in the series however it is really the first book to the main story. Enders Game was great, However it was really just the story of Enders Childhood while speaker for the dead is the beginning of the rest of his life.
