"Fun Mystery with Exceptional Narration"
I haven't read the print version of this book, but Katherine Kellgren's performance is absolutely exceptional in this work. She managed to differentiate between at least 15 characters with ease. Kellgren's narration definitely enhanced my listening experience!
I love the main character Lady Georgiana for her wit and spunk.
It would be impossible to choose a favorite as Kellgren performed each character with such finesse. She is a master.
This is a rather light mystery, so there wasn't much to cause an extreme reaction either way. I chose it as something easy to listen to during the holidays, and this fit the bill perfectly.
"A Wonderful Series"
It was intriguing to find out more about the inner workings of a monastery.
It was nice to take a break from Three Pines, but I hope to return there in the next novel. The books that take place away from Three Pines provide more insight into Armand Gamache and his team as individuals. They are more character driven than plot driven, which is a nice change.
Ralph Cosham captures Armand Gamache perfectly. I actually prefer to listen to these novels than read them, because Cosham brings Louise Penny's novels to life.
"A Christmas Classic"
While no one could tell this story quite like Boris Karloff, Walter Matthau does a nice job bringing the Grinch to life. My son loves listening to this one.
