"A Philosophical Materpiece"
It taught me why philosophy matters.
His love for Regina and his understanding that subjectivity is more important than objectivity.Allthough tragic the genius that Soren had taught people to look for more than just getting by. This story told me I need to find my purpose and when I do that will be "my" truth, not what everyone else thinks it should be for me.
His calrity and obvious love for the subject matter.
Truth is what you make of it, not what the world does.
Wonderful summary....I listened to it 3 times. His life just fascinated me
"Sadistic!!"
I would have liked to see a certain character screw up a little bit!!
I would have tried to put in a mistake that psycho wouldnt have thought about and let that character being completely taken by surprise by it and in a public setting
Kirby's and Julia's performances were brilliant and a bright spot to the story, when the 2nd part of the book started it sent me to the floor as they had me picturing something totally different. It reminded me of the book called the Collector and intill you see the point of view from someone else you actually start feeling for the psycho
Recheck my wifes background!!!
This stroy deserves a five I just wanted it to end differently, but it ended as it should have and it's psychological insights were scary. We do put on a different character thoose first years of marriage, and as the divorce rate suggests when that facade is gone most marriages can't handle it. Are we always pretending. Amys quote that love should have conditions will haunt me for a long time to come
"excellent"
It's detail
The insanity of some of the leaders
He makes you know when something is important
yes
no great audiobook
"Fun story."
Dont offer to tell little brothers of your girlfriends scary stories!
Hearing the door open and the air and the click asnd clack of the bgs....nice addition to the story.
His awesome voice which transcends any reading i could do.
I was ready to move when that door was opened!
would have liked more, but the freebies audible offers havent disappointed me yet and I love Neil
"Teach Me How To Exist!!"
It pushed me to question the meaning of my existense and what was I doing with it.
Realizing that Soren really believed that by bringing ridicule upon himself, he would become a better Christian. Equally the last meeting he had with Regine and she asked God to bless him after all he but her through.
No but I look forward to it
That we need to take personal resposibility for what our individual existenses will end up meaning, especially thoose who are given time to define that existense. The other one is that we know we exist because we can doubt that we do. Wonderful paradox!!
I wish I could understand these things better, but it's obvious that todays thinkers dont delve nearly deep enough and I worry that we our losing a chance to understand the unknown and what humanity means as technology begins to rule. I believe that Kierkegard would be disturbed with how many people these days blame their state of affairs on the conditions surronding them not looking at there lives and accepting that they can define them regardless of that!
"Great sense of humor"
It was free and of excellent quality
Jon himself because he thinks in the abstract and outside of the box, but never leaves reality. A quality i wish i had.
The extreme wit and brute honesty
Comfortably Dysfunctional
I look forward to getting to know this writer. I went and found his stuff as soon as I listened to it. Thanks for the freebie
"Is there a moral to it or just a good story"
Yea....this one is different but kept my attention
forgot names but the main characters passion is well developed as is his frustration
only satisfactory
look up who ambrose pierce was
the story is the best part, but these ones that end with more questions than they answer can be frustrating, but i think that was the point
"If you like sarcasm with serious undertones"
Serious Sarcasm
John Colberts book even though Stewart makes Colbert look silly his quality is far better and less diatribe
The alien faqs....HILARIOUIS
No but could have done so on a trip....it certainly keeps your attention
Jon Stewart makes you think without making you feel like its a chore, I do wonder how many times I forget that the issues he addresses are real and serious. Thanks to Jon and his staff he never lets the humor get in the way of the point and vice versa the seriousness of the ideas presented don't get in the way of our humanity and ability to laugh at ourselves....even when we should be embarassed as he*l
"One of the best fantasy books I have ever read!!"
Yes, So much detail I know I missed something
It's magical and scary and enthralls on every page.
His accent and the way he portrays the voices....he literally loves hus characters and they love him back!
Two moments if u will allow...the moment he realizes his name is the name he has always had and when he says goodbye to his mother, eventhough Silas is my favorite character
Every character is so well developed i felt like i knew and know them. Isn't it great to know that some people understand that when the world sees us as nobody, nobody is actually what the world needs! I need "NOBODY", and nobody is my name too!
"Reality Better Than Fiction"
This story gives me such an appreciation for the men and women that protect our freedom. I loved the fact he didnt glamorize it. His line about the food being in a container marked for military or prison literally made me sick that we treat our military like that. Yet he syas right in that moment they dont do it for that and in these Seals case i believe them.He didnt make this a moral issue and the casual way he describes the killing of these insurgents is spot on. I know people want emotion in this but it shows exactly what it has to be like for him, and why his job is a huge challenge and burden. Being human is bad in his line on work. No easy day is a perfect title because it didnt just represent the day they killed Osama it represents every day of our military personnel caught in the crossfire of protecting our freedom!!
How much a coward Osama Bin Laden really was. He expected his followers to fight to the grave, but he didnt even try....he was just another greedy business man abusing the ideology of a people. He never wanted to die for this he just wanted the fame...the wives and the pleasures of being rich as noted in his compound. What a coward. I thought it was hilarious to hear about a hair dye formula made in America being used by Coward Bin Laden. Thanks for supporting our economy to keep yourself looking young for that young wife of yours
His voice was superb for the part and he hit the words when needed perfectly. It was more like a performance than a reading
Yes...I kept wishing my drive time would be longer
Just awesome....thank you american miltitary you guys rock!
