The dangerous, fanatical Imperial Order, under the leadership of the power-mad Emperor Jagang and his multitude of demonic underlings, unleashes a deadly plague. To find a cure, Richard Cypher and his beloved Kahlan Amnell must seek out the legendary Temple of the Winds, a fortress of evil sealed away for three thousand years. But the path of the Seeker of Truth is never an easy one - even if he can reach the Temple at all, there is no guarantee he'll ever return.

Danielle says: "Good book, poor narration"
    "Please no more Dick Hall"
    Overall

The narrator should have at least listened to one of the prior books. He is a poor narrator and has a poor sense of the characters. His vocal stylings more adapted to gangster novels than to epic fantasy. His insistent determination not to pronounce names in the same manner as written is more than disconcerting it is offensive.

The novel itself is a small jewel and deserves better treatment by the voice talent.

I would rate the novel as a 5 and the narration as a 1-. Thus the average is 3 out of five.

    "Dat good old rock music!"
    Overall

Terry Pratchett rewrites music history in typical Disk world fashion.

    Totally outa site.

Read it / listen to it and enjoy it. One of the best readings of Terry Pretchett's disk world novels available. You will never listen to music quite the same way again.
