I am going to give this book 5 stars because it was better (in a good way!)than I expected. I thought that the book was going to be entirely about how the author ate "rice and beans" and got out of debt. There is some of that in the book but it also has a lot of information that prevokes thoughts like... What is it that I want out of life? or How doe being normal keep me from the living the life that I want? You will get out of the book as much as you are willing to be open minded at looking toward the possiblility that you may need to make changes in your life.

This year, Americas enormous debt collection industry will make 1,000,000,000 collection calls. They will threaten. Lie. Mislead. Intimidate. Award-winning reporter Fred Williams went undercover inside one of its largest firms. Now, he reveals everything he learned and shows exactly how to fight back and protect your rights.

In my opinion, this book should have been WAY shorter and cost less. Fred spent only 12 weeks working undercover with all the trainee collectors and only made it out of the First phase of training on a gimme at week 10ish. He never spent time with the higher ranking collectors. The ones that generate HUGE fee for the company. Those are the ones that I wanted to learn about. Not the trainee collectors. The 12 weeks of collection office experience was turned it into the first 5:30 min of story about said experience and the characters that he worked with. Then in the last 32 minutes the real information is revealed. Which was (at best) ok and saved the book from a 1 star.

  • Selling You!: A Practical Guide to Achieving the Most By Becoming Your Best

This newly edited edition of Selling You! is based on Hill's classic manual for master salesmanship. Drawing upon the original, it features an explanation of Hill's fundamental principles of sales and it details methods for selling your personal services to best advantage. It also contains an extensive section on ethics, initiative, mental attitude, and preparation.

    Jimmy says: "Worth it!!!!!"
"It may or may not be worth your time and money."
    Overall

If you already own Hill's other works, you may feel that you have just paid for what you already own. I had spent the time and money on Law of Success vol 1-4 and I felt that this book was a good overview of that material. But don't get me wrong, if you are NEW to Hill's books... by all means it is worth the investment of time and money.

What does it really mean to be a good father? What did your father tell you that has stayed with you throughout your life? Was there a lesson from him, a story, or a moment that helped to make you who you are? Is there a special memory that makes you smile when you least expect it?

Listening to this book helped me to understand that although my dad wasn't perfect, he taught me many important lessons. The best part of this book was that this book helps me be Mindfull of my roll of Father to my two daughters.

If you've been dealing with the loss of a job or home, or have had a health or financial crisis, Start Where You Are abounds with lessons that offer hope and provide a road map for starting anew. This book is inspiring and motivating. My wife purchased that book for me. You see, I have been kind of sitting on the sidelines waiting for a push to start a business of my own. I have thought that I was going to be laid off and was just waiting for that to happen so that I would go do my own thing. I will have to say that learning ALL the adversities that Chris had to overcome and learning the different Life Lesson illustrated in the book and how to apply them to your own life is what make this audio book "credit worthy" to me.
