Stephen King's first full-length solo novel since Dreamcatcher, the long-awaited From a Buick 8 is "nearly flawless and one terrific entertainment," says Publishers Weekly. A strange car acts as a conduit between our world and some other...and the boogeyman of this creepy story is our collective fascination with deadly things.

J M says: "Essence of Stephen King"
"Come on S. King, you can do a lot better"
    Overall

I'm a S.K. fan and I love just about everything he's written. Perhaps he should have only written one book about cars (Christine) because while there are "moments" worth reflecting; on the whole, it isn't a very good book at all.

"The dead don't talk. I don't know why." But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn.

    Denise says: "No Doubting Thomas"
"Hard to not listen to all day!"
    Overall

The narrator livedly takes you on a journey that you do not want to end. I listen as I drive to work and I found myself leaving home earlier and driving slower so that I could hear more of this awesome tale.
