Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena live, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge....

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Most likely the narrator. Give the girl the strength she deserves. I got the feeling if I read the book I might enjoy it. This is because unlike the narrator who makes Catnice sound weak I picture a strong and self confident person, one with normal fears but strong enough to always survive.

Would you ever listen to anything by Suzanne Collins again?

Great story line. Give the characters more strength. Get rid of so much of the mellow drama.

What didn’t you like about Carolyn McCormick’s performance?

Here is a girl, our heroin, who takes on the establishment yet the narrator makes her sound like a weak, ultra-over-dramatic looser. She takes the mellow drama to new levels. In fact, after 5 minutes I couldn't take it any more, I was litterally ready to stab myself in the ear with an ice pick! (how's that for over dramatic!) I'll have to read the book if I want to know what happens.
