"Another "Superweapon" story is not a bad thing!"
Marc Thompson's narration is fantastic as always! The story was actually very entertaining at times it feels like James Bond in the Star Wars universe. I really liked the espionage of Theron
It's similar to all the Old Republic novels in its feel. Makes me want to jump back on the MMO ASAP!
His voices are truly incredible. It's hard to believe it all comes from the same man! He is very enthusiastic in his reading and actually acts out the dialogue. I believe what I am hearing and that's the mark of a great narrator!
"Favorite Star Wars Audiobook"
I have listened to I think 80% of all the available SW Audiobooks and this is my favorite book. I don't know exactly what it is, but I just LOVE it! I got this audiobook when it came out in 2005 and I have listened to it at least a dozen times since then. Whether it was at college, commuting/road trip, or at work this book is just so entertaining. It has everything I love about the movies and what I love about the clone war. The time between Episode 3 and 4 is my favorite time period in Star Wars. I just love this book!
When I first. Heard this I couldn't imagine anyone else doing Star Wars books. I love Marc Thompson but Jonathan Davis is fantastic.
"GOD bless Colbert"
For different reasons, this book is my favorite of all, among all the audiobooks I've listened to so far
Performance is just incredible it's exactly what you expected to be it's like his show for hours on it
There were many times where I just started uncontrollably laughing which is a good thing to do while you're driving lol
BUY IT!!!
"Incredible, increases my love of the character"
I am a huge fan of the James Bond franchise. I had always wanted to read these books but now with audible I had the perfect opportunity
I love the character and the time. It was written in adds a lot more drama to the story
I think the voice performance for this book was fantastic and I can't wait to get the entire series!
The bitch is dead.
I think the book is fantastic I love the story and it's incredible to me that movie with Daniel Craig did such a great adaptation of it for modern times
"Could be better"
The adaptation for this dramatization is great, the writing is very well and captures the details of the book while keeping an entertaining pace
I enjoy the music though some of it is repetitive, and I enjoy Bilbo joining in conversation with the Narrator.
I am a HUGE fan of the BBC Dramatization of LOTR with Ian Holm as Frodo. That dramatization is perfection in my opinion, highly recommended!
So this was a let down to me because it isn't as good as that adaptation, it is a bit unfair to score this poorly based on that, but I had my expectations high.
Some of the voices really annoyed me too. All the main characters I got used to though. I do like Bilbo's voice a lot, Thorin and Gandalf
If you are expecting it to be just like the BBC LOTR then you will be disappointed. However I do not regret purchasing this version! Happy 75 years to this story. One of the greatest stories ever told as far as I am concerned.
"Fantastic but too short"
It's great to hear the forward and the behind the scenes notes by Tim Zahn himself!
