Absolutely beautiful recording of a great play. So glad LA Theatre Works was able to get John Lithgow and BD Wong together for this. A true treat.
Another review mentions the poor production quality and I have to agree. Clearly no quality control on this--there is a strange reference to "continued on disk 8" and several sentences repeat. To Audible's credit, this is the only experience I've had with subpar production.
Still an entertaining listen for fans of courtroom dramas, though Frank Muller seems like an odd choice to voice the young lawyer. I recommend it, but wish it had been edited better.
Simply put, David Pittu's narration is the best I've ever heard. Anyone who says "oh, I just can't pay attention to audiobooks" will be proven wrong by his masterful reading. And Tartt's writing is rich, wonderful, and highly compelling.
Even though it's incredibly long, I'm sad it's over! This was a truly great listen.
A very enjoyable listen of a fascinating career. Well written, read, and realized, this is a great downloads for fans of the American musical.
Didn't intend to listen to this so quickly, but once I got started I just kept my iPhone connected until I got to the end. Wanted to read the book, but was able to speed through it quickly thanks to this recording. Certainly worth a listen!
Downloaded this for a long road trip I was taking with my wife. We enjoyed the story, as we always do with Stephen King, but the performance John Slattery gives had sustained our interest for the full trip. This was a great download. Recommended!
