Normally it I very rarely rate a five star but for this book I had to because it is the best Milhone mystery to date. I have enjoyed them all but this one has so many tangents and they all intermingle. It's cleaver and keeps you wondering what the other set of characters are up to while you are hearing about the current set of characters and Judy Kaye has the perfect Kinsey voice. The narration was fantastic. I was sad when it ended. Sue Grafton is running out letters in the Alphabet what will she do next? Good Job Grafton keep them coming.
At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book but I am so glad I gave it a chance. It is a wonderful read. Full of mystery, compassion, warmth & love interest. It is truly a wonderful story. One I am sure I will reflect back on in the future. If you are a true caring & loving sole, a person with a good heart, you won't want to miss out on this book. Narration Brilliant!
I really enjoyed this book, but it wasn't as gripping as some of the other Virgil Flower's novels. I teetered between 3 & 4 stars but decided on four because I always looked forward to picking up and listening again which isn't always the case with some books. I love the character, the story line was good and there was a twist at the end. Eric Conger did a great job with his narration.
I had just finished a really good book and wasn't sure I would be able to find another gripping one so fast. Five minutes into this book I was hooked. It is a truly tragic but wonderful story, one of those books that you are sad to have end.
